I found out about it and discovered he was on our list of liberty candidates in 2012 (when he was challenging Billy Long for Congress).

His race is critically important because it will decide whether the GOP keeps their veto proof majority in the State House. Here's his website: http://www.mikemoonformissouri.com/

Mike Moon on the fundamentals:

Opposes ObamaCare for Missouri
Protecting the right to keep & bear arms
Opposes federal takeover of local schools
Protecting individual property rights
Limiting taxation – keeping more taxpayers’ money in taxpayers’ pockets
Reducing government control and growth
Limiting government regulations on businesses and individuals
Protecting innocent life– from conception to natural death
Working to make Missouri less dependent on federal stimulus
Respecting parental rights, including parental rights in education
Upholding the rule of law in the Constitution
Exercising Missouri’s 10th Amendment rights
Promoting capitalism and opposing socialism
Championing your conservative values

This is especially important because if he wins, he could be going to congress soon. :)

How does that list you got him from rate? We've had some people on here pushing 'lists of liberty candidate' where you can get 5 stars and have voted for ndaa AND the Patriot Act, not to mention FISA. In other words, they don't care about what I care about.

I'll look at the candidate, though.

his web page doesn't say anything about civil liberties. I'll have to look somewhere else.

I don't know. I'll try looking for more information. I just remembered that somebody on this site mentioned that he was good.

Here's his view on going to war (which doesn't really pertain to much he'll be doing in the state legislature): http://votesmart.org/public-statement/714783/issue-position-defense#.UVSSCBemhwQ

The U.S. Military should not be used as a "World Police." If and when a war is to be fought, a declaration of war must be made by the U.S. Congress.
