A suspended Roman Catholic priest accused of taking in more than $300,000 from sales of methamphetamines plans to plead guilty to one of the charges against him, according to a court filing Tuesday.

Kevin Wallin is scheduled to appear in US District Court in Hartford next week for a hearing in which he would plead guilty to conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine, according to the filing obtained by The Associated Press.

A message left with his attorney wasn't immediately returned.

Authorities say the 61-year-old Wallin had meth mailed to him from co-conspirators in California and made more than $300,000 in drugs sales out of his Waterbury apartment in the second half of last year.

He also bought a small adult video and sex toy shop in the nearby town of North Haven named Land of Oz & Dorothy's Place, authorities said.

Sending this to all my Catholic family...

Why?

He is not representative of the whole group. This doesn't make all catholics meth dealers..... Im sure you already know that, so hence the question, why?

Best part.

He must have really enjoyed dishing out the Hail Mary's.

How sad that a man who originally set out to serve the people of God should end up preying on them instead. I'll remember this gentleman in my prayers this Triduum.

Unfortunately, par for the course. And not just in Catholic circles. Beware the wolf in sheep's clothing. And, tell your kids about this stuff. Don't hide it from them. Any adult can be unsafe....

Well, to be fair, you did bring up the issue in a public forum.

I'm not Catholic, so I have no expectations here, but if the Catholics want any credibility for their priests as spiritual leaders, this guy should be fired, as he is clearly not a good moral example. However, what he did should absolutely be legal.
