Omaha police displayed an unbridled street gang brazenness when they chased a man who was video recording them abusing his brother into a private home, confiscating his phone and arresting him to ensure their actions would never see the light of day.
However, another citizen captured the entire incident on video from a second-floor window, ensuring at least the façade of an internal investigation.
Police also arrested a third brother inside the home they entered without a warrant, not to mention they knocked over a woman in a wheelchair.
Police claim the woman in the wheelchair was knocked over by Juaquez as he ran from officers.
Regardless of who knocked her over, police had no right to chase Juaquez into the home without a warrant when all he was doing was video recording them from across the street.
He was charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing police. No mention of his video is made in any of the local news stories of the incident.
His brother, Octavious Johnson, the man police were initially arresting, was charged disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, obstructing police and reckless driving.
The third brother arrested, Demetrius Johnson, was charged with obstructing police and an outstanding warrant.
According to KMTV:
The family says officers demanded the phone but when Juaquez ran into the house to put it away, police rushed in throwing Sharon Johnson out of her wheelchair. Sharon says, “He came in and ran and he took my chair and he throws it up and just threw me back.” But a police report obtained by Action 3 News shows Johnson was pushed out of her wheel chair by Juaquez as he ran from officers. Sharon says, not true. “Other police officers just climbed over me and just start going over this way and jumping all over him.” said Sharon.
Johnson says police handcuffed her for a short time, arrested Juaquez and took his cell phone. The Omaha Police Department released this statement: “Chief (Todd) Schmaderer has authorized an internal investigation into the incident. The Omaha Police Department expects professionalism from all employees…there will be a comprehensive investigation into this incident….any violations will be addressed.”

At least 13 speeding police cars to get there which endangered more lives? All because of a cell phone?

If I remember right, Omaha is where the guy out walking his dog had his ass beat and dog shot with an AR-15 because he wandered into a crime scene. They got away with that, so it's not surprising that they will just do anything they want to.

Wasn't an AR but it was Omaha...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Cops come and lock down a whole neighborhood looking for a "suspect".
Innocent man, walking his dog, breaking absolutely no law, walks away from cops barking orders at him.
Cops charge, tackle and thrown him down violently to the ground, and in less than 5 seconds, execute his Lab/Golden dog that he was walking, on a leash.
The whole incident was caught on night vision security cameras at a local business.
This is going to be your kid, your husband, your wife, your father, your brother very soon unless we stop this.
Watch the video at the site for yourself.
I am literally shaking with rage and frustration right now...
Can somebody who has the means, save that video clip and youtube it before it goes down the memory hole?
Dog Shot By Omaha Police Officer
http://www.wowt.com/news/headlines/Exclusive-Dog-Shot-By-Omaha-Police-Officer-176320491.html
An Omaha police officer shot and killed a dog on a public sidewalk. The officer’s report claims the shooting was justified; however, the owners call the incident an execution of a friendly, family pet. Mike McKnight obtained surveillance video of the incident for a Fact Finders exclusive.
On October 7th, after midnight, police blocked a street in the area of 35th and Vinton to look for an armed suspect. They say Chris Schulte, who lives in the area, ignored orders to stop and walked the family dog toward the search area. He was arrested and his dog, Teela, shot.
(This is all cop bullshit. He was walking away and the dog was doing nothing. - AF)
Chris Schulte said, “You know I should have got back but I was just walking on. Not threatening, dog wasn't being aggressive.”
In the report by Officer Schuster and Officer Clement, the officers said “suspect’s dog became aggressive, growled at officers, and showed its teeth before being shot and killed.”
Lt. Darci Tierney, Omaha Police, “The Omaha Police Department is aware of the incident and Chief Schmaderer has authorized an Internal Investigation into the matter. As with all personnel matters, the Omaha Police Department is unable to comment further. Per OPD policy, anytime an officer discharges his/her firearm during the course of their duties an arduous review of the discharge will take place.”
Tim Wagner told Channel 6 News he watched the incident, live, from inside his home via a night vision security camera.
Wagner said, “The dog didn't stand a chance. The dog did nothing aggressive. I've lived next to this dog two and a half years and it’s one of the best dogs.”
Fact Finders checked with the Nebraska Humane Society. Teela, a Labrador, golden retriever mix, had a clean record with no history of bites or vicious behavior. Schulte says Teela belonged to his aunt, Michelle Meadows.
Meadows said, “It was very shocking. I would think they would maybe taser her or something, if they thought she was being aggressive, but I don't think she was.”
The police report described Schulte as intoxicated. He was arrested, at the scene, for obstructing police and resisting arrest. He claims Teela, who was still on a leash, didn’t threaten to attack officers before one of them shot her.
(More asshole, murdering, fuckstick cop bullshit. Only in Amerika would a full body tackle on the concrete and an execution of your dog be called "resisting arrest". You fucking assholes haven't seen "resistance" yet. - AF)
“They didn't have to shoot em. Not at all. (It was an) Execution,” said Schulte.
Fact Finders showed the video to Omaha police command staff, whom provided a response. Lt. Darci Tierney said, “The Omaha Police Department is aware of the incident and Chief Schmaderer has authorized an Internal Investigation into the matter. As with all personnel matters, the Omaha Police Department is unable to comment further. Per OPD policy, anytime an officer discharges his/her firearm during the course of their duties an arduous review of the discharge will take place.”
Channel 6 News did pay for the rights to air the video.
There should be a concentrated effort to get disorderly conduct removed from all books. Sweeping generalizations are a bastardization of the law. That would be the beginning of putting these pigs back in there place.
One guy decided to do something about it last month.
So the police intentionally burned him alive on national TV.
Most Americans, including a lot of people on this board, have already forgotten about the whole incident.
It looked like he was running away for his life. Surprised they didnt kill him and his mother.
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.--
...
What is that point?
edit: The amount of suffering in either case has to be taken into consideration...and it is, and governments also consider it.
Looks like the cop starts to hear sirens so he beats him probably because he has a free pass without any witnesses.
He did something about it? Like shoot up some innocent relatives of the people he believed to have wronged him?
Dormer was no hero.
Dorner was also not apprehended. Dorner was not charged. Dorner didn't get a jury. Nobody even tried to determine whether or not he was even the right guy.
My point wasn't that he did something right. And I was wrong to say he "did" something, because we simply don't know, and now we never will.
I was responding specifically to Barrex. If it seems like Americans aren't up to the task of making sure this sort of thing doesn't happen anymore, it's because simply speaking up is likely to get you two in the chest these days. Or maybe you'll be "lucky" and they'll simply charge you with something, add a bunch of charge multipliers, mark you a felon, and then you'll spend every last red cent staying out of a rape cage and be marked for life as someone who is unemployable.
We're not doing anything because nothing we do is going to have any effect, until people are ready to take up rifles and try to deal with it as a group. Considering they literally Joan of Arc'ed a "heretic" on national TV with less due process than Joan got and nobody gives a shit, there isn't likely to be anyone doing anything of the sort any time soon.
Four Nebraska cops were fired over an incident in which they tried their best to conceal, including beating a man and chasing his brother into a home to steal his camera all while unknowingly being recorded by another citizen from an upstairs window.
And another three officers were placed on leave and an additional officer was reassigned, according to the Associated Press.
However, Omaha Police Chief Todd Schmaderer refused to release any of the officers’ names, meaning they will likely get hired at another police department in the near future.
After all, as hard as it is to fire a cop, it is even harder to prevent him from getting rehired as a cop where he will likely continue his unlawful ways.
It's no victory really, they're just throwing out a bone to appease the mundanes. These cops will just be reinstated with back pay, or hired by another department.
And meanwhile nothing at all is being done to the other Omaha cops who did something worse (the ones who attacked the guy who was out walking his dog -- they roughed him up, charged him with "resisting" or some bs charge, and killed his dog).
