A pitbull bit a woman while defending his owner, amid a dispute between neighbors, reported at 12:45 am on Saturday at the Bayamón district, sector road Ramirez in Cidra PR-778, police said.
Reportedly, Grisel Ortiz Rodriguez 22, was bitten by the dog in the middle of the melee.
Ortiz Rodriguez was taken to the Mennonite Hospital in Cidra and attended by Dr. Reyes, who diagnosed an open wound on her nose, and she was referred to the Medical Center in Rio Piedras.
It also said the dog bit his owner, Evelyn Rivera Otero on her right hand. In the melee, Gilberto Sanchez Gonzalez 34, Otero Rivera's husband was stabbed by the father of Ortiz Rodríguez in different parts of his body.
All the injured were in stable condition.
According to the laws of Puerto Rico, the dog, being of the pitbull breed, will be euthanize.
