My guesses:
Cruz, Lee, Rand, Vitter, McConnell, Coburn, Flake.
Senator Paul is right now talking with Dan Coats and Ted Cruz. Cruz is listening and it looks like Paul is explaining something to Coats.

Wow, more support than I thought so far.
Affirmative Vote (in support of Paul Budget): Barrasso, Coburn, Crapo, Cruz, Flake, Paul, Lee, Shelby, a few more. I couldn't type all their names fast enough.

He won't. Toomey is a fraud.

Vitter was aye, now Lee and Risch. This might get 20 votes.
Really rooting for Toomey to vote the right way on this.
Hate to break it to you, Toomey voted no.
Lee voted yes. :) He really rocks.

Yeah, this is a good development. Rand's last budget only got 7 votes.

so only 1/5th of the Senate want a balanced budget in 5 years.
Pretty sad.
They would rather see the USA implode at some point .

And some people actually want McConnell to lose to Ashley Judd.

Rubio voted no, McConnell AYE!!
More red meat for Rand Paul to attack Rubio in '16. That's not gonna fly for Conservative voters.
It was nice watching Tim Scott, Mike Lee, and Ted Cruz hanging out together near the well. I like thinking that true conservatives are working together.

A lot of people weren't too high on Scott at first, but he has been arguably more solid than Johnson and Toomey. He's probably the best on our B team.

The next amendment is breaking up banks I think? Rand will probably vote aye.
The next amendment is breaking up banks I think? Rand will probably vote aye.
That's right. The Democrats wanted it by a voice vote, but Vitter demanded a recorded vote. It will probably pass by huge margins.
That damn Cornyn has been improving his votes slightly. I credit Cruz for it.

It's been interesting to see the effects Cruz, Lee, and Rand have had on their elder Senators.

Why did Rubio vote against it? He's incredibly dense.
According to sources, these are the GOPers who voted for the Paul Budget:
18 sens voting yea on Rand Paul's plan to balance budget in 5 yrs: Barrasso, Coburn, Cornyn, Crapo, Cruz, Enzi, Flake, Inhofe, Johnson (WI), Lee, McConnell, Moran, Paul, Risch, Scott, Sessions, Shelby & Vitter.
It's been interesting to see the effects Cruz, Lee, and Rand have had on their elder Senators.
But just wait. After these elders Senators get re-elected, they may turn back against us. Hatch was exceptionally conservative in 2012, but he's back to his RINO self (as this vote shows).

Cornyn and McConnell are up next for reelection. You have a good point.
Why did Rubio vote against it? He's incredibly dense.
It cuts foreign aid. He's usually against cutting foreign aid.
A lot of people weren't too high on Scott at first, but he has been arguably more solid than Johnson and Toomey. He's probably the best on our B team.
Absolutely. Although I would note that Johnson (WI) voted yes on this amendment. Toomey unfortunately didn't.

What's with the Lee Amendment they are voting on now? Why is Lee's Amendement proposing a requirement that budgets spend more on defense than debt payments? I think I am missing something here..

Which Lee amendment was that?

Something about having defense spending be more than interest payments on debt. And there are too many amendments offered by Lee to find an explanation lol

I think Lees amendment may be so that military spending would effectively put a cap on the level of debt service burden we can take on. Only so much military spending can be explained and I think that our debt service costs are going to increase at a much faster rate than military spending in the coming years.

I suspect if it's a 50-50 senate after 2014 that the Republicans try and get Manchin to switch parties. He's actually voted with the Republicans on quite a few things.

Maybe get Tea Party/liberty people who helped elect him to send him a ton of mail expressing their disappointment? Toomey will come over if he has enough pressure.

Really rooting for Toomey to vote the right way on this.
Thats who I was looking for too, being he is my Senator.
Paul's other amdt on cutting foreign aid to fund infrastructure also got a vote: http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=113&session=1&vote=00082
Also, Cruz tried passing an amdt to cut foreign aid for Egypt: http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=113&session=1&vote=00085
Both failed by about the same margin. Two key vote amdts.

He supported Rand's amdt which I don't think specified Egypt (I could be wrong though).
