I've listened to all these people before... Beck at least seems to have some libertarian leanings... I don't know Hannity well but I seriously doubt it in his case.

I dont know if he has ties to MIC or not but he's successful and has the number 2 talk radio show in America and the 2nd top rated show on cable news. I think for most of these "neocons" in the media they're unwitting cheerleaders; they're not getting paid by the MIC directly like other propagandists but the "tough guy" and "USA, USA, USA" routine seems to work well for them and that's why I think they do it.

I do think it's possible that the MIC help get Hannity and Limbaugh on these hundreds of stations because they're reliable sheep herders.

I try hard to avoid falling into the trap of arguing about "who is libertarian enough" and "a *real* libertarian wouldn't do/say blah blah...."

Interesting that they (Sean and Glenn) start using the libertarian term when Rand starts coming around to use it for himself. The fact that Hannity tried to corner Rand on foreign policy the other day and had him on for a very unusually long time, practically like the better part of the hour, signals the move to try and figure out a move to put him on ice. But, Rand is too clever for that so they have some heavy lifting coming up. Use them as your little pawns while you can Rand. It'll be hard for them to put the genie back in the bottle the popularity is off the charts.

In the Dallas/Ft Worth radio market Hannity's show has always come on after Rush's show on the same station. It's always shown that Hannity is just a Rush wannabe. He's not entertaining at all. He's not funny, he's not witty. I haven't listened to a whole show of his in years but back when I did it sounded like he was just re-reading the same talking points from 1 page for the few hours he's on air.
