No, Rand is NOT the only Senator or Congressman to ever do this sort of thing.

Still . . . make it an ice-breaker talking point when you can.

Scenario.

Watching this morning's CNN at a coffeehouse with a guy a few tables over,
I go over to turn it up the volume . . .
something about them in DC again wanting to remove the Redskins name and logo from the NFL DC football franchise.lins

Honestly, I doubt many Indians would question this use of the name, but I dunno.
and what are they doing wasting time in Washington.

so . . .
I mention how that junior Senator from Kentucky ---
that Rand Paul guy . . .
whatshisname . . . that Rand Paul guy . . . .
gave back $600,000 of his alloted budget back to the United States Treasury.

It is a good way to get others interested in Rand Paul 2016. . . . imho

But think of all the jobs he could be providing if he would simply spend that money instead!

LOL . . .

I like the idea that a guy running for the nomination of his party for the commander-in-chief job would do that.

I think it IS a big deal . . . excuse me to use Biden parlance . . "It is a big effing deal"

Then-Senator Barack Obama or then-Senator Hillary Clinton or then-Senator Joe Biden . . .
did any of them ever put back anything, let alone $600,000 - into the US Dept. of the Treasury ?
