Marco Rubio spoke very coherently here, without his frequent scripted and awkward style. Maybe he's better with reporters than with giving speeches.

Did Rand Paul say his plan is going to deport 12 million illegals? That is news to me.

I still don't get the Rubio hype.

Did Rand Paul say his plan is going to deport 12 million illegals? That is news to me.I think he was trying to say the opposite, albeit inartfully.

You misunderstood what Rubio said. He said that he agrees with Rand that we're not going to deport 12 million illegals.

Thanks for the correction. I understand what he's saying now. At first it sounded like he was saying Rand P wants to deport 12m illegals

rubio has been a lot different since c-pac.. i think the youth show-up made him feel right at home and it changed him a little inside, a lot of the awkwardness we saw earlier whenever he has to talk in public is gone

Rubio constructed his sentence very poorly and it was very ambiguous as stated. It went something like: "We're not going to deport 11 million people like Rand Paul said.."

It's great that he "might" be moving more in the line with what we believe, but is that what we want from a president? Someone who is still shaping their outlook on issues. Perhaps he is too young to stand on principles he hasn't envisioned year in and year out.

Rand is somewhat older and has grown up around politics where seeds have been planted long ago. So I'm not as concerned with where Rand stands as much as some members here are. I believe like most that he is working the political spectrum in an effort to move more people to our position on the issues. It's a delicate balance. As for Rubio, I don't think he knows where he stands yet.

Yea you almost gotta wonder if one of his $100,000/month political advisors constructed that sentence for him.
