A day filled with promising news here in SC.

The NDAA Nullification Act (http://beforeitsnews.com/r2/?url=http://www.scstatehouse.gov/billsearch.php?billnumbers=92&session=120&summary=B) passed the state senate with final readings and goes to the house for a vote.

Also, the Constitutional Carry Act (http://www.scstatehouse.gov/sess120_2013-2014/bills/115.htm) made it out of the subcommittee with a 5-0 vote and now goes to the full Judiciary Committee.

Oh, and Sanford won the primary but will need to beat Curtis Bostic in a runoff before taking on Stephen Colbert's sister, Elizabeth Colbert Busch, along with Eugene Platt (Green Party) in the general election.

What about the Nullification of Obamacare, the house judiciary committee was suppose to vote on it today? I haven't heard if it passed, failed, or delayed.

David Koch, one of the nation's most generous underwriters of conservative causes (http://www.forbes.com/profile/david-koch/), is among more than 250 donors chipping in to help disgraced former South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford get his political career on track. So is Foster Friess, a conservative millionaire who bet heavily last year on former Sen. Rick Santorum (http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politics/2013/01/gop-millionaire-foster-friess-says-super-pac-cash-dump-was-worth-it/)'s failed bid for the Republican nomination and made headlines with his unorthodox views on contraception. Yes, it passed the House's Constitutional Law subcommittee and will go on to the full House Judiciary Committee. Walter E. Williams was in the house giving testimony.

Lee Bright to police "as far as making your job easier or making the people safer, I would rather the people be safer and I think they'll be safer arming them selves."

2 of the subcommittee members, including Bright, weren't very accommodating to the remarks made by those representing the police departments/organizations. The City of Charleston PD representative even tried using the requirement to have a driver's license to drive (46min mark) but Sen. Shane Martin responded that driving is considered a privilege on the government owned roads while the right to defend oneself is a right (51:40 mark). Another bad example brought up was by Mr. Brooder of the SC Law Enforcement Officers Association. He claimed the requirement to have a state issued ID to vote was akin to requiring citizens to have a permit/license to carry to prove they have had passed background check and proper training. Sen. Shane Martin fired back at Mr. Brooder (64:30 mark) stating jokingly he would love to do that and also require voters to prove they were properly informed before they could vote.

Talbert Black of SC Campaign for Liberty and Denise Snelling of Palmetto Gun Rights (both spoke 2nd and 3rd respectively) have been doing a heck of a job advocating for this bill. John Perna has also been doing a good job and gives his testimony at 48:50 mark.
