The Russians Think We’re Wrecking the World on Purpose

“In Russia, most analysts, politicians and ordinary citizens believe in the unlimited might of America, and thus reject the notion that the US has made, and continues to make, mistakes in the [Middle East]. Instead, they assume it’s all a part of a complex plan to restructure the world and to spread global domination,” writes Fyodor Lukyanov on the Al Monitor website today. Lukyanov, who chairs Russia’s Council on Foreign and Defense Policy, laments what he derides as a “conspiracy theory.” Nonetheless, he reports, President Vladimir Putin and the Russian elite think that the United States is spreading chaos as part of a diabolical plot for world domination:

From Russian leadership’s point of view, the Iraq War now looks like the beginning of the accelerated destruction of regional and global stability, undermining the last principles of sustainable world order. Everything that’s happened since — including flirting with Islamists during the Arab Spring, U.S. policies in Libya and its current policies in Syria — serve as evidence of strategic insanity that has taken over the last remaining superpower.

Russia’s persistence on the Syrian issue is the product of this perception. The issue is not sympathy for Syria’s dictator, nor commercial interests, nor naval bases in Tartus. Moscow is certain that if continued crushing of secular authoritarian regimes is allowed because America and the West support “democracy,” it will lead to such destabilization that will overwhelm all, including Russia. It’s therefore necessary for Russia to resist, especially as the West and the United States themselves experience increasing doubts.

It’s instructive to view ourselves through a Russian mirror. The term “paranoid Russian” is a pleonasm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pleonasm). “The fact is that all Russian politicians are clever. The stupid ones are all dead. By contrast, America in its complacency promotes dullards. A deadly miscommunication arises from this asymmetry. The Russians cannot believe that the Americans are as stupid as they look, and conclude that Washington wants to destroy them,” I wrote in 2008 under the title “Americans play monopoly, Russians chess.” Russians have dominated chess most of the past century, for good reason: it is the ultimate exercise in paranoia. All the pieces on the board are guided by a single combative mind, and every move is significant. In the real world, human beings flail and blunder. For Russian officials who climbed the greasy pole in the intelligence services, mistakes are unthinkable, for those who made mistakes are long since buried.

If the Russians sound mad, consider this: there is another substantial body of opinion that sees an evil conspiracy behind American blundering in the Middle East, and it votes for Ron Paul and Rand Paul.

Can't disagree with that. Americans are generally dullards by design of the designers of the "education" system.

At least "wrecking the world on purpose" sounds like we have some kind of plan. We wouldn't to seem like we're accidentally wrecking it, would we? Yep, we're wrecking it. Yes, we know. It's happening just the way we intended. That's right. It's our plan, not yours.

The tyrants in russia (all ex communists) are amazed and in awe of how american tyrants have done so well up till now. They want to mimic their styles of control of the people and foreign dominance.

Nikki Minaj and Honey Boo Boo are our cultural icons. We are a stupid, stupid people. Their paranoia is hilarious, when you realize that our politicians are no smarter than the dunderheads that elect them.

Ironically, it was those same "tryants" in Russia that urged restraint to allow cooler heads to prevail when Bibi was showing the UN his neat little bomb picture and ranting about Iran not adhering to the NPT that conveniently doesn't apply to him since they never signed it. Equally ironic is the fact that Iran, who did sign the treaty with America, is still in full compliance of it and it is the US that is violating the treaty by sanctioning them under false pretenses.

Politicians are irrelevant everywhere. What you see in public and in the media is just for show. Like wars-what you're shown is just the politicians and various other assholes. The puppetmasters, however, are the international bankers and various other power junkies/sociopaths.

Truth. IIRC, the MSM has been putting out bits of anti-Russia propaganda every once in a while for this reason. As much as I thoroughly dislike the Russian regime, the enemy of my enemy is my friend (as least to an extent).

No. All kinds of no. Over and over again, no. There is nothing friendly about Russian tyrants, regardless of the battle you believe they are waging against the evil bankers that you believe run our lives so deftly

I meant only to the extent that they are the enemy of the US regime. Outside that, they are thoroughly evil. None of my Russian friends like the Russian regime either. (there really are no legitimate governments in the world anymore)

The average American may be as dumbed-down as a box of rocks on meth, but the folks who are really running the show are not in the slightest. You don't pull off scams of historic magnitude by accident.

Maybe not, but they may end up being an indispensable ally to free peoples everywhere, similar to the role the Soviets played in WW2.

Wrecking the world is one of the few things the US is good at LOLZ!! I reckon the economy now best produces porn, bad food, and drugs (licit and illicit). On a large scale, at least. There are still plenty of small tradesman, artisans, etc.

Post #7 in this really good thread is a one of the best quick summaries of "the Plan" I've seen.

I've read paperbacks and tons of online articles and watch tons of hour long videos like everyone else, but these videos are nicely condensed.

Wesley Clarke pretty much talking about a memo, " Of a 5 year plan to invade all these middle eastern countries" and then the bottom video giving a nice summary as to why we are destabilizing the middle east.

But yes the american people are still alseep and dumbed down watching american idol and trying to figure out which Kardashian will get pregnant next.
