I didn't really want to make a new thread for this but there was also a Rand Paul discussion today on Cavuto. This Katie Pavlich person in the video seems to be a good ally of Rand, she has said some very positive things about him in the past too. Note also that Rand Paul be on Cavuto Wednesday.

Katie Pavlich is with Townhall.com and won blogger of the year at CPAC this year. She's also mentioned running for Arizona Senate when she's eligible for McCain's seat.

She'll be eligible in 2022 I think.

No chance. There's a congressman in Arizona who is really good and will hopefully take that. He beat Quayle in his member on member primary.

Ben Carson says he likes Rand :)

it was funny too because he told Hannity he likes the guy that was just on and Hannity said "Ted Cruz?", and Carson was like "uh no, Rand Paul". he had good things to say about Rand and not being afraid to take a stand.

Hannity really hates Egypt.

Rand has really sparked something there

Rand's thoughtful, non-confrontational style has won so many people over with only very slight deviations of Ron's points. It's pretty fun to watch.

Sorry, I didn't record that part. I'm sure fox will put it up on their site in an hour or two.

Not like I'm trying to watch Faux News, but Greta was just on with Reince Preibus talking about Ran and shafting the grassroots. Does anyone have the tube.

Senators need to be 30 years old. Is she only 20 or 21?

Do you mean the GOP establishment "shafting" the grassroots in 2012?

she's 25 apparently

Katie Pavlich, the editor of conservative site Townhall.com and a New York Times bestselling author, declared on Twitter Friday that she is considering challenging seven-term Republican Senator John McCain for his Arizona seat after she becomes eligible in five years — though McCain will next face re-election in 2016, in less than four years.

“I can run against John McCain in 5 years, semi-seriously considering,” Pavlich tweeted Friday, shortly before noon.

Pavlich — the Fox News contributor and author of Fast and Furious: Barack Obama’s Bloodiest Scandal and its Shameless Cover-up — will turn 30 in five years, making her eligible to run for the seat.

She's 25 I think, but she won't be 30 by McCain's next reelection in 2016, so shed have to wait til 2022.

Just a side note for those concerned about Rand's hair. He seems to have taken on a new look in this interview. His hair is back off of his forehead. A little more of a deliberately controlled look rather than a laissez faire look.

The black (or maybe very dark gray or blue?) suit seems new, and looks sharp! And his tie isn't lumpy under his collar like it was at CPAC.
