Hello Everyone,

I'm a representative of a small group of individuals who have been working on a project that's purpose is to convince people to go out and convince other people to support Ron Paul as passionately as themselves.

The site is at http://www.ronscatchingon.com

Basically, we want to follow in the tradition of the very successful "money bombs" and have some kind of "race" or "drive" to encourage people to go out and support Ron Paul. For example, we could ask people (on the honor system) how many people have they convinced to support Ron Paul and they could add the new supports to a meter on the site.

We would want to setup some kind of goal. For example, 10,000 new supporters by Dec. 31 could be a possibility. We would have a map of the USA showing each state and the total of new supporters in that state. Additionally, we would want to have tools, tips, guides, and resources that can help people tell others about Ron Paul!

Instead of a "money" raising project this will be a "people" raising project.

But we need help and support.

1) First of all, we need web designers or someone who can code a website in a similar manner to the Tea Party and RudysReadingList websites. The site is in a very early stage and needs a COMPLETE overhaul.

2) Secondly, we need ideas! We want our team to GROW! We want YOU to become involved! What do YOU think we should do with the site? Do you think we should focus on a specific early primary state to begin with? What are YOUR ideas?

To be blunt, if we can have a PEOPLE RAISING PROJECT as successful as the Nov. 5th money bomb we can WIN THE NOMINATION!

Will you help us?

Could use a non-90's look. :)

However, I don't think the excitement is as big as with November 5th, because results won't be known until months and months (rather than real-time). Just keep telling all the people you're telling about Ron Paul to keep telling others the same thing. :)

EDIT: Have you heard of www.goprising.com ?

That is why we want to have some sort of goal.

If we can show users of the site have convinced 10,000 new people to support Ron Paul by a certain date that would motivate others to go out and convince other people to support Ron Paul.

True. :D You should ask Dan B from ronpaulgraphs.com whether you can use his primary map, it rocks:

You gotta admit, it fits the cheesiness of the ad.

Are there any web designers here that would help us?

But, people who already support Ron Paul could sign up, too. Or do you plan to advertise this on a highway overpass or something? Also, it'd be a pretty meaningless number if they sign up at RonsCatchingOn.com and not RonPaul2008.com.

The purpose of our site is to motivate current Ron Paul supporters to go out and convince other people to support Ron Paul.

I don't care what anyone is saying, 99% of those who support Ron Paul are not spending 1/4th of the time they could be convincing others to support him.

The purpose of the site would be to set up some kind of goal. For example 10,000 new supporters by a certain date. This makes going out and convincing people to support Ron Paul exciting!

For example, donating on money bomb days is exciting. Raising a total number of new supporters by a certain day would also be exciting!

We need a web person to help us set all of that up.

Ron is catching on would have been far more grammatically yummy. As apposed to it being his catching on, it would be that he is catching on. Unless you are looking for a clan of catching oners.

Along with actual new supporter tracking, it should track things like how many slim jims people have handed out. The site would definitely motivate people to get out more.

Maybe a good way to verify is to require people email(to the webmaster) a picture of themselves with the stack of slim jims or other literature before they hand them out. That way there would be less cheating. Pictures would remain private but verified by the webmaster.

Thanks! Our website needs a complete overhaul. Basically, we just wanted to get SOMETHING up before we told everyone about our project.

I've already got that up and running at http://goprising.com/ft/campaigns/newGOP/

If anyone wants to add a campaign, I'd be happy to do that. That way two different campaigns could feed off each other - and the marketing for it could be cohesive.

But it seems rather pointless to split efforts. Ain't no such thing as a bandwagon that's split in two and heading off in different directions.
