“Kimani said, ‘Please don’t let me die,’ ”
said the woman, 46, who gave her name only as Vanessa.
One of the officers, she said, replied:

“Stay down, or we’ll shoot you again.”

“I was standing at the corner, on the sidewalk, and the cop said,
‘You can’t stand there.’ said Tyreck Strachan, 13,
after being released from the 67th Precinct station house.

“I said, ‘I’m on the sidewalk.’

He started hitting me with a stick.”

Carol Gray asked for justice and wondered, “Why was Kimani been murdered, and slaughtered? Why was Kimani begging for his life? Why was Kimani saying [those things] if he had a weapon? … He’s my angel, and my baby, and he was slaughtered, and I want to know why. After the first shot, why the second bullet, why the third bullet? … Just walk in my shoes, please, and understand my grief… I want justice, for his civil rights, for being an American citizen.”http://leaksource.wordpress.com/2013/03/14/kimani-grays-mother-speaks-out/

They said it was for the black man
They said it was for the Mexican
And not for the white man
But if you look at the streets, it wasn't about Rodney King
[nor Kimani Gray]
In this f-up situation and these f-up police
It's about comin' up and stayin' on top
And screamin' 1-8-7 (http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=187) on a mother fn' cop

This is not an improvement. A duplicate thread with no original content, horrible formatting. Fail.

Hit me with a stick.

Lets take a look at SA's complete original OP:

No offense SA, sweet that you brought the issue to light, you do a lot of work around here on other fronts too.

But hater's will hate for sure.

atc take a look at the threads I've started in the past 48 hours. I've got more thread views on original news content than you've had on all of your OPs this year. Why do you have to be like that? Then to go on in SA's thread that I'm doing this for VANITY... really? Vane with an anonymous pseudonym? I do what I do to maximize thread views, to bring light to issues, and to start brush fires. I do what I do with a passion and for liberty; every day, 7 days a week pro bono. Generally speaking, I swim in rep for the content (and almost everything I post is hyperlinked content) I bring here but there are a few members, yourself included, that hold an animosity against me that I simply do not understand. Get over yourself.

RPF IS MY BLOG and if I could post here without a pseudonym, completely anonymously, I would.

This mornings' Brooklyn Riot News:

In Brooklyn, a push for answers after police kill teen (http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/03/14/nyc-teen-shooting-kimani-gray/1987797/)
USA TODAY-by Melanie Eversley (https://plus.google.com/107238988760382038046)-11 hours ago
NEW YORK CITY

Longtime resident Rose Green said it is nothing new for young African-American men to clash with the NYPD in this neighborhood of modest brick and wood-frame homes, small apartment buildings and independent retail stores. She said she knows little of the details of how Kimani Gray, 16, was shot and killed, but she does wish police would show more patience and restraint.

"This kind of thing happens all the time around here, police and young people having problems," Green, 55, said of the shooting. "This kind of thing has got to stop — the young people being shot down."

"I don't condone any riots, any looting, any shooting, anything against any police officers,"
said Carol Gray, the teenager's mother, at a news conference in Brooklyn.

"Two police officers shot down Kimani,
and I only want justice for two police officers
to be off the street before they hurt another young kid," she said tearfully.

“People are angry. People are angry because this is not the first time that there’s been killing in the neighborhood, and there never seems to be justice, so I think that’s what we’re unfortunately seeing people reacting to,” community leader Bishop Orlando Findlayter told Churkina.

"They were not coming out of the shadow. They were staying in the dark area of the street. You just knew it was going to turn into the cops trying to contain those kids who were obviously gonna go for it," Graham said. "That just stopped the original intention of the night."

Grahambegan to take photos, watching as kids crossed the street toward the protesters. Community leaders started shouting for everyone to calm down and asked anyone taking pictures to stop so they could talk to the young men and calm things down, the photographer told CNN.
"These kids broke loose and took off. The police were caught off-guard," Graham said. "Those kids really know the streets, and they're spreading out and going down side streets away from the main street."
Next came the sound of breaking glass and rolling trash cans, Graham said, and business owners quickly pulled down their metal store-front security coverings.
One officer received a gash to his face while another was pushed off his scooter, police said.

Brooklyn Teen's Death Sparks NYPD Protests

But witnesses have been telling New York media outlets a different story. One, Camille Johnson, toldWPIX (http://pix11.com/2013/03/10/witness-says-brooklyn-teen-shot-by-cops-was-running-for-his-life/#ixzz2NL8C9wJP%20%20and%20the%20two%20officers%20i nvolved%20are%20on%20paid%20administrative%20leave %20while%20the%20incident%20is%20investigated.) that Gray "was running for his life, telling the cops, 'Stop.' " A 19-year-old man in the group Gray was with, meanwhile, told NBC New York that things "happened so fast" that he had no idea that the plain-clothes officers were even police. "I didn't even know they were officers ... I didn't hear them say a thing," the teen said. A third witness, a women who lives across the street form the shooting, offered a similarly question-raising (but not necessarily damning) account of the shooting's aftermath to the Times:

She saw two men, whom she believed to be plainclothes officers, standing over Mr. Gray, who was prone on the sidewalk, clutching his stomach. “He said, ‘Please don’t let me die,’ ” said the woman, 46, who gave her name only as Vanessa. One of the officers, she said, replied: “Stay down, or we’ll shoot you again.”
The anger following Gray's death isn't, of course, just about the death of one teenager.
