I'm making a pro RP site that should go live soon, and I think that it will help out this campaign a lot. I'm really excited because I think its gonna subvert the MSN really well, but at the same time this makes me feel worried about rogue CIA and whatnots. I think I may face false allegations of copyright infringement due to the nature of my site as well (users posting emails they get printed in papers) As of now I am focusing on looking for a register that will keep all of my whois info private from government, as long as I'm not breaking any laws. Is there anyone I can really trust?

I would reg the site out of country, I use the same hosting provider as http://thepiratebay.org/

If the corporations cant close them down from all the illegal torrents then I think your safe.

Send them an email, they will send you who it is. its like 11 bucks a month

Or if you *really* want to step it up:
http://www.katzglobal.com/hosting/hosting.html

Totally anonymous, offshore, pay by egold, etc. Notably more expensive though.

Always something to consider, who is running these sites. Could be CIA fronts. I onced asked one of these sites that question and he basically said there was no way to prove he wasn't somebodies front.

Uhh....doesn't TPB own their own servers?

EDIT: Oh, you guys need to get your terminology in order. The proper word is registrar.

You have no anonymity with Katz Global or E-Gold.

Katz Global doesn't require to provide a real name, but they do collect your IP address and e-gold account number. They have an office in the U.S. that receives subpoenas.

E-Gold doesn't require that you initiallly provide an accurate name, but they will block your account if you use a proxy server in an attempt to hide your IP address. Then, they will require you to submit a scanned image of your driver license to unblock your account. They are located in Florida and have been charged with various crimes by the Federal Government. As a result, they are now collecting your personal information and turning it over to the Feds to protect themselves.

So, if someone wants to discover your identity, they file a lawsuit and serve Katz with a subpoena. They then get the e-gold account number from Katz and serve a subpoena to E-Gold. E-Gold IDs you and they now have you in your cross hairs.

Do everything overseas if you require complete anonymity.
