Iowa was incredible! It was really my first introduction to on the ground politics. I flew there from Nashville. The Nashville rally was a blast and I even had the good fortune to make it up for the Philly Rally. No matter how many speeches I listen to/watch, I am still amazed at the message and the crowds.

This Chalmers Johnson interview will be phenomenal. I'm 3/4 through his book, Nemesis, and it has been depressing. We are truly an Empire.

For youtube experts, Johnson (about 17 mins in) says "I cannot imagine any US president standing up to the military industrial complex and/or senior CIA intelligence agents". Its a perfect segue into RP talking about standing up to those guys.

I liked how he compared us to Rome.... and Claudius the idiot sounds a lot like Bush the idiot :rolleyes: I dont see the poisionous mushroom by Laura Bush happening though...

You're watching CSPAN2 Book TV on a Friday night listening to a really old guy talk about foreign policy for 2 hours while posting on a Ron Paul forum discussing ways to pull clips for YouTube.

Sorry...reality check for myself. Now back to the program!

LOL! Sad, but true! A friend of mine was asking me if I was watching Durant play right now, and I told him "Nah, man, I'm watchin a guy on C-Span talking about 'blowback'". No response from him yet :)

47 mins in, he is told "no one resigns from the CFR. They die". He resigned anyway, over an article written by a CFR member entitled "The clash of civilizations". Not youtube worthy, at least I dont think, but still interesting.

im sure it will from time to time. that interview was from 3/7/07. i thought it was interesting when he talked about the potential for a resistance movement as part of a solution but didnt have alot of confidence in it.
