There’s a change coming. Perhaps even a revolution, according to Dr. Ron Paul. But it’s not exactly clear what that might look like.

Brandishing his usual themes of limited government, the destruction of the federal reserve system, and personal liberty, Paul took to the stage at the Manning Centre Networking Conference in Ottawa Friday morning and reminded the crowd that times are changing.

“We live in very important times. The times that we live in are different in many, many ways from my viewpoint. I believe we’re in a transition,” he said.

That transition is from what Paul calls “interventionism” – where there are things like government planning, welfare, inflationism, central banking and “deficits that are awry” – to something else.

“There is a replacement,” he said, “and it can be found in the cause of liberty.”

Paul was mostly vague about how a society governed solely by personal liberty would manage itself, but the idea was popular, Friday. The Manning conference-goers gave Paul a resounding round of applause.

the author disapproves of that apparently. More at link: http://www.ipolitics.ca/2013/03/08/ron-paul-cause-of-liberty-spurring-a-time-of-transition/
