TNGOP WELCOMES TENNESSEAN TO US SENATE RACE…IN KENTUCKY

Tennessee Resident Ashley Judd Reportedly Close to Jumping in US Senate Race in the Bluegrass State

NASHVILLE, Tenn.— After months of rumor, innuendo, and conjecture Fox News is reporting that Franklin resident, Ashley Judd, is close to announcing a run for US Senate.

An “intimate” source tells (http://link.tngop.org?151-3189-3597-802-20373) Fox411: “At least, in Ashley’s mind it is happening.” One minor problem: The liberal activist lives in Franklin, Tennessee, not Franklin, Kentucky—or anywhere in the Bluegrass State.

Putting aside that small concern for the Tooth Fairy (2010) star—who likely feels “all the world’s a stage” and she can just skip from one state to the next—attention will turn to her record.

Last summer, Judd starred (http://link.tngop.org?151-3189-3597-802-20366) as an Obama delegate to the Democratic National Convention.
With blockbusters like Ruby in Paradise (2006) and Bug (2009) in her portfolio, we can understand why Judd has a dodgy voting record (http://link.tngop.org?151-3189-3597-802-20369) in Tennessee.
Of course, with San Francisco being her “American city home” she may forget that Williamson County, Tennessee is actually where she’s registered. Life is hard for a starlet.

“The last time I checked Ashley Judd lived in Tennessee. Of course, whether it's Tennessee or Kentucky, her values more resemble those of Hollywood,” stated TNGOP Chairman Chris Devaney. “Tennesseans know her well though: She’s spent the last decade lecturing us about the benefits of big government—well, in between stops in San Francisco (http://link.tngop.org?151-3189-3597-802-20374), Scotland (http://link.tngop.org?151-3189-3597-802-20370), and Rupp Arena (http://www4.pictures.zimbio.com/gi/Ashley+Judd+North+Carolina+v+Kentucky+hgqITxcuM9al .jpg).”

Judd’s candidate of choice in the 2012 presidential election has been on a similar whirlwind tour tearing through the American economy recently:

Record high achieved for those “not in labor force (http://link.tngop.org?151-3189-3597-802-20371).”
Americans feel like they are getting poorer. Stats show they are (http://link.tngop.org?151-3189-3597-802-20372).
The Federal Reserve tells us (http://link.tngop.org?151-3189-3597-802-20368) Obama’s signature achievement, ObamaCare, is leading to layoffs.

Devaney concluded, “Seriously though, whether Ashley Judd is in Big Orange Country or she runs away to Big Blue Nation, she is seriously out of touch with the everyday Americans in both states who are doing everything they can to survive the onslaught of bad economic news from the Obama Administration.”

She's McConnell's dream opponent. A regular, conservative-democrat from the Kentucky legislature would have given him a real run for his money.

Yes and no.

She will have money behind her, a politico likely would not because no one seriously thinks they would be able to beat Mitch.

Again, the only way I see her winning is if she convinces Republicans to sit home and not vote for Mitch. That's a distinct possibility, but I think 2014 will be another tea party year like 2010.
