This Week In The News For Senator Rand Paul - March 8, 2013
Pro-bono Eye Surgery I appreciate the support of ophthalmologists in Kentucky like Dr. John Downing (Bowling Green) and Dr. Barbara Bowers (Paducah) who help identify pro bono cataract cases for me. Whenever I can, I truly enjoy being able to perform eye surgery. We had a successful afternoon of surgery in Bowling Green on Friday, March 1, and I look forward to another day of surgeries later in the month. These patients not only benefit from free professional services, but from the charitable contribution of the surgical centers and hospitals where the surgery is performed. I'd like to thank the staff at Greenview Regional Hospital in Bowling Green for their assistance with our March 1 surgery.
