What do you think of libertarian icon Peter Thiel's company Palantir Technologies, Inc. and its connections to government operations?

I think it is pretty much impossible to be a billionaire and not have connections in one way or another to "government operations", whether you like it or not. Thiel made an honest effort to create an alternative currency system outside the control of the US Government and for that alone he is a hero in my book.
