Well, there's always a chance. I mean, Charles Darwin got 4K votes in one Georgia District. And he ain't even breathing.

But I don't think its very likely. I'll vote for Rand if they pick him ,but they almost certainly won't.

I am not surprised, politico is filled with hyper partisan liberals and neocon types who are deadly afraid of a Rand Paul candidate.

Aren't most Americans? I think reality is against us here. Then again, I'm naturally inclined towards pessimism.

The fact that Politico is doing this poll in 2013 means the answer is yes.

True enough.

Wonder what an online Politico poll in March 2009, asking if Rand Paul had a chance of defeating Trey Grayson, would have looked like.

Too soon....depends on how much the establishment can get away with rolling over him by using the media in the next couple of years. They are not going to go down without a bloody fight but I think they are going to have a hard time trying to shove a Bush/Rubio ticket down the throats of those who are becoming more enlightened.

Depends.

If the Republicans are tired of jumping in bed with Murdoch and the Neocons and losing, then Rand has it in the bag. But if the Republicans still want to hear the sweet, soothing sounds of people telling them they have to kick the world's asses because everyone in the whole wide globe is wrong but them, and they want to hear this crap more than they want to win, then Rand has no chance at all.

Guess we'll see. Won't we?

More time should be spent measuring works in progress versus new beginnings in my opinion. Follow the infrastructure. It's the best indicator as to who makes whom. I do wish Rand would wander into that territory. Don't know why he doesn't.
