A group of grassroots political activists took advantage of the holiday shopping rush Friday morning to spread a message about a presidential candidate.

About a dozen Billings residents are on the streets pushing for republican presidential candidate Ron Paul.

THE MORNING NEWS

Politics blended with commerce at the corner of the busiest intersection in Northwest Arkansas early this afternoon.

A young man in a knit hat held aloft a sign supporting Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul. Cars were captive at the stoplight of College Avenue and Joyce Boulevard as the young man shook his sign.

My ex had some custom made to give to her active meetup members. She's been listing them on ebay off and on. Just search "ron paul beanie" on ebay.

" These are the results of a recent poll conducted by Montana State University Billings.

When it comes to the republican nomination, 49 percent of Montanans have a positive opinion of John McCain. Rudy Guliani and Mitt Romney follow with 40 and 24 percent. RON PAUL WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE POLL. " [my emphasis]

Grrr! This makes me so mad! Do we not have a Montana State University Billings Ron Paul meetup group that can slap these people upside the head?

" I have to say I was at the Pinnacle Hills Promanade and they had about 30 people at the intersection supporting Ron Paul as well. They had signs and pictures of this guy who I have never heard of or read in the morning news. Who is Ron Paul? I know he is running for president but what is he about and what does he stand for? Can you help explain who he is? Thanks, Bobby "

Sign wavers: YOU ARE HAVING AN EFFECT!!! Keep it up!!
