I'm starting this thread to brainstorm on how to raise money to retire Lindsey Graham. Sounds like he may be unpopular with voters right now (http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?406696-Lindsey-Graham%92s-very-bad-day-on-Twitter), but he has a huge war chest and that's preventing anyone from challenging him. My idea is if we set up a website to pledge dollars for his "retirement fund". He's got 6 million so we'd need close to that much just for it to be a contest. It's a wild hair of an idea at the moment. Just trying to gauge the sentiment out there.

Someone needs to do this (i'm too lazy)

-Buy a domain like 'defeatgraham.com'
-Purchase hosting and put up a picture of Graham and a small write up
-Ask for pledges to donate to Graham's 2014 opponent to be taken in the form of an email address
-Spam it everywhere (twitter, facebook, this forum)
-When Bright is ready fire off emails asking to cash in the pledges.

I don't think we should donate to any one candidate just yet.

I like the idea of a moneybomb PLEDGE... focused completely and solely on defeating Lindsey Graham.

Let it make the statement that at this point it is more about BRINGING HIM DOWN than who will do it!

^^ THIS. EXACTLY!

And we need to make the pledges big enough to speak VOLUMES!

And we need to do it before the establishment sends in their shill candidates. Davis, Bright and Sanford would have a chance, and their positions are fairly well known. Extreme vetting should occur with any others. We need another Rand, Lee or Cruz, not another Rubio or Ayotte.

There are a lot of democrats that hate Graham with a passion because of his warhawkish assholiness. They should not be overlooked when fundraising.

2008 South Carolina Senate campaign:

After Bob Conley beat Cone in the primary he went on to compete against incumbent Republican senator Lindsey Graham. Conley's campaign followed his mantra of fiscal conservatism spending only $15,202 for 42.25% of the vote on November 5 to Graham's $6,596,229 for 57.53%.[9]

Obviously the more money the challenger has the better position they are in, but this says to me we don't need to try and out raise or outspend him to defeat him.

Anyone have thoughts on running a liberty candidate as a democrat VS primarying Graham VS doing both? I think both would be the obvious answer, but I'd be worried that we'd split the vote between them and possibly end up with no one in the position to win the seat.

Why not find 2 good liberty candidates and do just that - one as a Repub and one as a Dem.

Show the idiotic establishment that liberty is popular and THAT'S how you get crossover votes. Not becoming democrat-lite on spending!
