Was just listening to BBC World News.... They mentioned that CIA has a new director and that "one senator" held up the process for over 12 hours, but no mention of the senator's name or the reason for the filibuster. The blip was sandwiched between reports of Justin Beiber's health and how much China's exports have fallen lately.

Anyone know how the rest of the world is/has covered the filibuster?

America is known as the drone capital of the world, bombing other countries left & right.. how did they react to a US Senator asking his own Government "Please don't bomb us here too!" ?

Daily Mail also covered it in the UK:

The Daily Telegraph did too.

The BBC didn't cover the filibuster on their TV show, though. They are staunch liberals and don't like a conservative stealing the spotlight on issues like this.

My parents said CNN international and Al Jazeera did not mention anything regarding the filibuster on the day it happened and they have their TV set on CNN/ Al Jazzera english 24/7 (except when a soccer match is going on)
