I keep seeing on FB that he voted for the NDAA 2013, and people are assuming it included indefinite detention. As I understand it, it did not include it. But there are articles out there that claim it did.

Lots of people think NDAA ONLY has to do with indefinite detention. They are wrong.

He supported Feinstein's amendment that was vague on indefinite detention. There were many lawyers who agreed that it repealed indefinite detention while other lawyers who agreed that it did nothing.

A lot of people would just like to believe Rand supports indefinite detention.

Sigh, any little thing they can hang on, there is an NDAA every year, it had nothing to do with funding (which he said he likely wouldn't support).

He even tried to include provisions that would invalidate the previous year's indefinite detention (or didn't he actually get a provision that at least rolled back some of it, cant remember now).

Just laughable, but some are clearly scared that Rand Paul is gaining momentum and making gains.

He voted for NDAA in its preliminary form, then voted against final passage.

Why are people claiming that Rand voted for indefinite detention?

Why are there people claiming Obama deserved to be reelected last November?

Why are people claiming that Rand voted for indefinite detention?

Why are people lying about what his filibuster was for? Why are people lying about every part of his voting record? Why are people calling him a neocon?

Just as soon as he rises above their divide and conquer game, he become able to empower We, the People, and that makes him incredibly dangerous. They don't want a populist to be incredibly dangerous, they want to be the only ones who are incredibly dangerous.

So, set the progproles straight every chance you get, and laugh gently at the trolls, and just keep at it as long as you can stand it...

He did vote against the final version. I think a lot of people just don't follow the whole process through, or don't realize that wasn't the final passage. At the time they were trying to get a vote on the Lee amendment.
