Ogden police shoot German shepherd

OGDEN — Ogden police say a German shepherd that lunged at two officers was shot dead.
Officers were checking a report that a resident showed a gun at his front door when the man let his dog loose.
Dan Marocchi denies that his 2-year-old German shepherd, Max, was a threat to officers on Sunday.
The 67-year-old resident says he pulled out a gun earlier in the day when he found a man he didn't recognize standing on his porch.
Ogden police officials say they will conduct an internal investigation into the shooting of Marocchi's dog.
