Hello fellow Ron Paul supporters. I just made this 2 sided flyer and thought I'd share it with anyone that wanted it. 90% of the content and wording is taken directly from Ron Paul's slim jims or writings. So it is as "direct from Ron" as I could make it. I have it formatted in a Word document. If you are interested in using it, just send me a PM and I'll send you the file. Dear American,
On the fourth day of July, in 1776, a small group of men, representing 13 colonies in the far-off Americas, boldly told the most powerful nation on earth that they were free. They declared, in terms that still are radical today, that all men are created equal, and endowed with certain inalienable rights that government neither grants nor can take away.
In the Declaration of Independence, the founding fathers sought to demonstrate to the world that they were rejecting a tyrannical king. They listed the “injuries and usurpations” that contain the philosophical basis for our Constitution and Bill of Rights. One point of consternation to our founding fathers was that the king had been “imposing Taxes on us without our Consent.” But 230 years later, taxation with representation has not worked out much better.
Indeed, one has to wonder how Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin would react to the current state of affairs. After all, they were outraged by mere import tariffs of a few pennies on the dollar. Today, the average American pays roughly 50 percent of their income in direct and indirect taxes. Most Americans work from January until early July just to pay their federal income taxes, state and local taxes, and the enormous costs of regulation. Only about half the year is spent working to pay for food, clothing, shelter, or education.
It is easy to simply blame faceless bureaucrats and politicians for our current state of affairs, and they do bear much of the blame. But blame also rests with those who expect Washington DC to solve every problem under the sun. If the public demanded that Congress abide by the Constitution and pass only constitutional spending bills, politicians would have no choice but to respond.
Our basic problem is that we have lost sight of the simple premise that guided the actions of our founding fathers. That premise? The government that governs least is the government that governs best.
Unless a large segment of the American people become active in supporting the principle of limited government established for the purpose of protecting individual liberty, the trend towards an all encompassing authoritarian government will continue.
This is why Ron Paul is seeking your support. For the first time in many years a man of principle is running for the highest office in the land.

· Cut the out-of-control government spending. The US currently spends close to a Trillion dollars overseas each year to maintain our “empire”. This money would be better spent domestically, addressing OUR infrastructure, OUR Social Security shortfalls, and OUR debt.
· Decrease the size and scope of the Federal government. Problems are better addressed at the State and local levels than going through layers of Federal bureaucracy.
· Let Americans keep more of their money. With decreased spending and scope of the Federal government, Ron Paul will begin to phase out the IRS and the Federal income tax.
· Institute sound economic practices. Stop the Federal Reserve’s “inflation tax” they create when they print more money to cover government shortfalls. It only serves to debase the currency. Did you know the Canadian dollar is now worth more than the US dollar?
· Pass true immigration reform. Physically secure our borders & coastlines; Enforce Visas; No amnesty; End “birthright” citizenship & welfare for illegal immigrants.
· Protect our Constitutional rights. Support freedom, the rights of individuals, and limit government interference in private lives.
· Uphold American Independence and Sovereignty. We must withdraw from any organizations and trade deals that infringe upon the freedom and independence of the United States of America.
· Restore Healthcare. Make ALL medical expenses tax deductible; Restore the doctor-patient relationship instead of going through the government-created middleman (HMOs); And encourage free market competition to decrease prices.
