I've been hearing more and more lately, statements about how by now our founders would have been up in arms..

How do you return these people to the path of peaceful means?

Statements about how our founders would have been up in arms aren't calls for revolution. Just statements of fact.
The things they revolted over were matters we surpassed about 100 years ago.

I actually don't know anyone who's calling for revolution. I'm the most radical person I know, and I'm not calling for revolution. I won't get very far by myself.

I think most people understand there's a huge problem, but no one (realistically) knows how to go about fixing it.

Get people to think about it as more than just an abstraction. What specifically is to be done, and what can be expected to come of it?

If patriots began to pursue violent means right now, how would most of the nation react to that? Would they support the patriots? Or would they call them terrorists, and then support everything any politician demands as a means of putting down the rebellion?

I think that most of those calling for violence are government employees or contractors. Most of the people I know are mad as hell and not one has suggested any form of violence, not even in private.

I don't think many libertarians are calling for violent revolution. The left are, but they always have.

I think it's good that people are even thinking in that vein. They know something's drastically wrong. That's a start.

And this is why freedom will never be retained.

The people who want freedom won't spill blood for it.

Stay captive, my friends.

I mean these tea-party type people who are going around quoting Jefferson on revolution and sharing silly pictures on facebook promoting violent revolution.

I don't know, it just pisses me off because I know if such a thing were to happen it would only make things worse for the rest of us.
