I posted this in the Member Works section, but thought it warranted posting in here because of the content of the video.

The video shows clips from an interview with Iraq war veterans who echo many of the things Ron Paul says about the war.

Where does Rollins stand on all this?

His endorsement would be great. Course I'm a fan from the Black Flag days.

I wonder who Fat Mike will endorse... I mean a Rock for Hillary comp would seem stupid, especially since he is Anti_war

I wish I could go to those nations and apologize for our (and my, firsthand) actions and on behalf of the millions here that desire an end to occupying nations and killing our and their children.:(:(:(

It's good to hear the voice of reason from the troops themselves.

You CAN support the troops (human, heroes) without supporting a war that is immoral, unjustified, and undermining our long term safety at home.

The war is the ultimate betrayal of our brave troops, forcing them to do battle with people defending their homeland from invaders, which is exactly what they, and all of us would do if someone invaded us. It's time to put the perpetrators of this out of power. Great video by the way. It might do a lot to convince a lot of people I know who are still afraid of the "Terrorists".

People are waking up. We wouldn't even know that terrorists exist if it weren't for our policy of nation building or providing billions of dollars a year to Israel and militarily supporting them at every turn.

Thanks for the kudos...

I'd like to add that when finding footage for the video I DVR'ed an HBO documentary from 2004 called "Last Letters Home", and I resisted using clips from it because I was literally crying my eyes out watching it and felt the documentary should stand on its own. It premiered on Veterans day, 2004 on HBO.

The documentary just shows families reading letters from loved ones they lost to the Iraq war and also discussing their feelings. There was no mention (too much) of them being anti-war... It was more about the raw emotion of losing a loved one.

I highly recommend wathing it. It is replaying on HBO. The web site is:
http://www.hbo.com/docs/programs/lastlettershome/

I found it interesting that since this movie was made/aired 3 times as many troops have been lost to the war and that is 3 times as many dreaded "knocks" on the doors to reveal the news that your loved one is not coming home, ever.

It seems to me that anyone who watches this documentary could leave it with nothing but contempt for this war. Then again, my opinion is a bit biased.

It was slightly embarassing watching it on my computer in my in-laws living room while they watched some dumb comedy movie on the TV. They laughing, me crying my eyes out.

Enjoy.

I know how you feel. Been feeling pretty crappy as I have been watching my Antiwar DVD over and over again while editing it.....

I've just uploaded the 2 part full interview of the 2 Iraq war veterans I used in the video. The interview is good on its own without my "editing" it down to fit my own video.
