These polls reveal nothing more than the clueless electorate we live in.

I think a lot of people support the drone strikes, because they view it as being an alternative to large land wars where our troops continually get killed. A lot of these people really aren't "pro war" people. They just view the drones as being not as bad of an option as getting our troops killed overseas.

Sure, if we knew what we were hitting, then why wouldn't we use drones over two helis? The problem is we don't know what we're hitting. Thus making drones unethical.

I think that's true, and I also believe when the press starts widely releasing photos of all the innocent people these drones are killing, and report on how many more enemies the strikes are creating--on the evening news--public opinion will go negative, which will happen when there's a Republican in the WH.

The thing is even more are killed and crippled in all out bombing. How many in 'shock and awe'? I do understand the thinking but there are too many problems with the lack of control by congress over when wars even start, and so much beyond that. If we HAD to do something (and I am not talking about any conflict we are currently in) it might be a tactic with appropriate protections but it has none, and is being used as 'fine' without congress.
I don't even know where to start with my distaste for this.

Right. I'm just saying that's what a lot of people believe, even people who are fairly anti war.
