Hey all! Been a long time since I checked in here but I wanted to let you all know I started a podcast linked here:
www.rachelmills.com if anyone wants to check it out. Its also on iTunes here https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/rachelmillss-podcast/id604978584

Since Ron Paul's retirement I've been out of a job (I was his congressional press secretary) but looking for new opportunities. We moved back to North Carolina for my hubby's job and to be close to family.

The podcast is a work in progress but so far has been a great outlet for me. Feedback always welcome.

Thank YOU! Lately I'm on a kick with researching prison labor - does it displace jobs in the private sector? (yes!) and is it incentivizing incarceration? To such an extent that it MUST be dealt with if we are to ever get a simplified tax code or end the drug war - key issues for everyone in the liberty movement.

its does take the place of non-criminal labor, but some local places offer dish washing positions to 'trustees' in a way to help them gets jobs before they leave jail. decreasing the likelihood of them needing to do other things to survive.
i'd say it has close to a 50% success rate.

work-release does give me an icky feeling, like prison labor.

There was a pdf floating around about 8 years ago that laid out the plan for mass prison labor, I printed it off and still have, it's pretty chilling.
