I love Barrett.

By current law, Barrett cannot be an accomplice with any lawbreaker, therefore, cannot and will not service or sell to New York government agencies. Barrett also applies this stance to the individual elected official who, as a matter of public record, has voted for or created regulation that violates the constitutional rights of their citizens. This is an expansion of our 2002 ban against the California government due to their second amendment infringements, and shall apply to any future violators.
............
With the clear vision of horrible events in history repeating itself, all manufacturers of firearms or related equipment remaining in partnership with such violators should have a respectable fear of being found with the guilty on their day of trial.

[And I hate the Blaze]

What was Romney's stance on gun control... because I'm having a hard time seeing him being a 2nd Amendment crusader should he have gotten into office. Truth be told by that sign's logic, a lot of people are too dumb to own a gun. After all, they couldn't see the similarities between the two snakes, amirite?

As I found out, they quit selling to California LE in 2002. I'm sure they have contracts with the military, not sure of contracts with LE, but apparently there will be no new contracts for CA or NY SWAT teams, [or police officers in the respective states] along with a few other states, it unfortunately seems.

Pretty sleazy. I hate being tricked into clicking on those. I just know that even if you only click the "X" to close the thing someone somewhere is jacking up the numbers claiming people are clicking on their ad.

Often you can just refresh the page and they think you've already been there and reload the page clean.

Really! It instills hope at a time when hope is truly needed.

I saw a truck with the whole back end covered in Ron Paul type bumper stickers. Even had them on the side. It made me feel good knowing that guy was there and sure cheered up my ride home. I wish I still had the guts.

I'll probably just rescribble my hosts file.

Aside from that though something that I think is really interesting is that this is the way that the senior generation has adapted to media on the www. I get a lot of email from my Tea Part Patriot friends. Many of them seniors, btw. It seems like the same kind of ads. Same design, same meme. Same everything. Chain junk. They pass that stuff all over the web too. And man are they persisitent with it. Ruthless almost.

I like to mess with em and reply with a link to the Ron Paul "Alone No More" video. It's funny because i always hit the reply all button and it goes to hundreds of people. That's how big they have their lists of contacts for this junk.

This is a valid question. I'd also like to know what percentage of their sales go to law enforcement. Let's be honest, until the likes of Ruger, Colt and The Freedom Group take part, this action won't accomplish much.

What is of importance is the BCM and Spikes, the makers of the best non military ARs out there, IMO, are on the list along with Midway. That will cause at least some distress somewhere.

Yeah, but there are still a bunch of Obama supporters who claim to be "law-abiding gun owners".
You know, they own guns for such activities as "hunting" and "recreation". Muskets and stuff you know.
You don't have to be openly anti-gun to have the same effect.

Advancing the slippery slope is just as bad, that's the MO of the Obama administration right now.
Slowly heating that frog. I think that's quite obvious, people that voted for Obama may claim to support the 2nd amendment. Talk is cheap.

But nearly every Obama supporter claimed that Obama was a stalwart defender of 2nd Amendment rights, and that whispers of potential gun bans during his presidency was merely rightwing paranoia.

and if that ever were to even cross the minds of the executives at theses manufacturers, nationalization would be their next - and correct - thought.

My point would be that if you aren't doing something then saying you are going to continue not doing it is meaningless. Their "action" involves no risk or cost on their part. They aren't really making a statement.

I'm sure they lost some customers with their announcements. They probably gained more than they lost though. The publicity of them reinforcing that a cop is merely a citizen themselves is what makes my day.

I applaud every company that stands up for the 2nd Amendment.

Hopefully Glock does the same. [Why should a cop be able to have 17 rounds in a magazine but not his neighbor?]

Yes! Midway is BIG. I may just drop Brownell's a line . . .

edit: sent Brownell's a note asking if they plan to follow Midway. If not, I will cancel my backorder.
