Or maybe read some books. The Khazars aristocracy converted to judaism towards the end of its history. Most historians say only a portion of the aristocracy converted while the rest of the aristocracy and the vast majority of the population did not convert. All genetic tests done on Ashkenazi jews show they have no connection to the turkic peoples that inhabited areas near the caspian sea. Ashkenazi jews would settle in those areas centuries later during the reign of the russian empire long after the Khazars have been lost to history.

What ANY of this has to do with Hagels appointment is beyond me but you seem sure that theres a connection here.
