Sen. Paul earns more "Pinocchios" in the eyes of the Washington Post.
Here's the stretcher, "Some readers might argue that Paul was simply making a rhetorical point. But even rhetorical points need to be rooted in reality."

What did they give Obama when he said all his programs wouldn't add anything to the deficit?

Pinocchios? That's pretty funny, coming from the MSM.

And for more reason than one ...

(the term "brown-nosers" springs to mind)

For the Washington Post, the game is fitting the story to the desired conclusion. In other words, the opposite of critical thinking and journalism.

Well he did say lets START with that. If we can't START with cutting this budget by ending this free money AND WEAPONS to countries that don't need it and don't do not have our best interest on the top of THEIR list, then where CAN we start?

According the author analysis, cutting the foreign aid will save from 1%-2% percent.
Well, that is not bad for a start. Just find 50 more little things to cut and we shrink the federal budget to zero! :p

How is that a lie? Rand Paul is being completely truthful on foreign aid. And as usual these people only think first level. The second and third level outcomes of ending foreign aid are fewer wars that the US gets involved in increased national security.

The Washington Post is an establishment tool and mouth piece of the DNC.

Consider it a badge of honor that they see Rand Paul as a threat to try and pick apart his statements and "fact check" them.

SPENDING is the problem, not "revenue". There is only so much we can do to control the explosion of medicaid, medicare, ss etc, but we COULD actually quit increasing the $ spent on discretionary items every damn year and get a handle on things.
