http://www.rawstory.com/rs/2013/02/18/mother-arrested-for-inviting-strippers-to-16-year-old-sons-birthday-party/

A woman in New York was arrested Monday for allegedly hiring strippers to attend her 16-year-old son’s birthday party.

Judy Viger, 33, has been charged with five counts of endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor.

Police said Viger paid for two adult female entertainers to perform “personal and intimate dances” at the birthday party at Spare Time Bowling Center in South Glens Falls last year. The party was attended by five teens younger than 17.

“The charges stem from an allegation that she endangered not only the welfare of her own child, but the welfare of the 14- and 15-year-old children that were at the birthday party as well,” Saratoga County District Attorney James Murphy said.

Outraged parents of the young teens contacted the media and the police. Officials were originally told the strippers were just a “bikini gram,” but authorities learned otherwise after viewing pictures and talking to witnesses about the event.

If she wanted to do that for her own son only, I guess I would have no problem with it. But other children were involved, were the other parents notified of what was to take place? It would piss me off, not enough to call the cops, but it would piss me off if my son went to a friends birthday party and that happened without my knowlege.

Guess that would have most to do with parental interaction and who they allow their children to hang out with.
My bet would be on dissaffected parents that became outraged when they found about something they should have known better from the get go.

Those were a few bits of collected wisdom,, from the Book of Proverbs.

This is honestly nothing really, compared to what teens are really doing these days, behind closed doors. Heck, I went to some "parental supervised" parties in my youth where the parent would clearly have been arrested if the cops ever showed.

Yea, snitching to parents is a bad word in this world. I like that my son tells me what's happening. It's my responsibility to make decisions concerning those things and how best to discuss it with him. It helps our relationship stay firm. I also don't lie to him about whether I did drugs as a kid or whether I did stupid things.

The article said the parents compained, I am only guessing, but the children must have told the parents?
Kids talking to parents, then parents bringing it up to other parents or cops or whatever is usually how it comes to the attention of the other kids (when your kids). Later in life, it's snitching to the public that the insiders are taking advantage of others that the ptb don't like.

Not saying it is not real (I did see the pic as well as I read the article) but I can photoshop anything these days. We have a court system (or whats left of it) for a reason. She is innocent like anyone else until she has been proven guilty. But yeah technology can be cool and a mofo sometimes.

I don't think anyone is judging the current case, but rather discussing the overall thing about parents, children, friends, snitching, behavior, "If it were so", etc...

A child cannot "unsee" something anymore than they can "unhear" something. I don't think it's a matter for the courts, but I would be pissed. Some damage done cannot be reversed, such as rape of a virgin. There will be enough of other peoples problems/ideals to contend with when they are older.

Gotcha, just seemed some were ready to label her as guilty when she has yet to even appear in court. The whole thing about snitching and what not. Well, every opinion is going to vary from different age groups. The teens, as someone has already explained, had no issues (of course) as well as the mom who organized all of this. Really kinda crazy that this all went down in a bowling ally of all places. I do feel the parents of the kids should have been notified before hand about the activities that were going to take place here and if any did not object then so be it, I got to qualm with it. But this is nothing more than what most teens seem to be exposed to today, violence on TV (yet cursing is practically outlawed), the insane porn they are looking at, "role models" that act a fool whether it be sports or entertainment. I feel that those things will have a deeper impact in their lives than some girl grinding on there little woody for 30 seconds.

Some years ago, round HS... I used to hang out with a few friends in this coffee shop/restaurant that was across the street from a bar/restaurant where apparently some guys friends rented him a private room and a stripper for his bday. The stripper arrived high on acid... Lets just say that supposedly a bit more happened than pelvic grinding through a couple of layers of clothing... Like penetration... It was apparently the strippers idea and bday boy was kinda drunk... At least this is according to second or third hand info from our servers who knew their servers... apparently somewhere between one person and everyone got arrested. No idea how it turned out legally. Everyone was over 18...

We have bowling alleys going into full on "See something, say something" mode and a bunch of people, probably even the strippers lose their jobs. “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!” ― Hunter S. Thompson

Pushing 50 and happy to report, based on the aches and pains in places on and in my body that I didn't even know existed 30 years ago, that I am living proof of Hunter's sage counsel.

Cheers! And many more aches and pains to come!

Speaking from experience.. (full story to follow if enough interest tomorrow)... But I saw a stripper when I was 15. I did more than "see" her (2nd base, not 3rd or beyond).. Never told my folks or anyone else. Grew up a Christian kid who never missed Youth Group, and know what?

A friend in college had his father take him to a brothel for his 15th birthday. Bought him a full service birthday special. It's ok though. They crossed over the border to Mexico, and his father was Mexican, so it was all legal.

My Mom is going to be surprised when I slap her the next time I see her.

I was never invited to these kinds of parties. Despite what you heard on American Pie, Band Camp is not about sex. At least not in my experience.

Guess those parents don't suspect their kids have been watching porn on the internet.
