David Gay and the liberty movement of New York are proud to announce David Gay's run for Syracuse Common Council. David was the NY State Chairman of the Ron Paul campaign, and there is NOBODY in this state more dedicated to our cause. An investment in this local election is an investment in the future of the liberty movement of New York, and the political future of a dynamic candidate. When David wins this race it will give him a platform to run for state and/or federal level offices when they open up. David is fluent in Spanish, a regular volunteer for various Northside refugee resettlement organizations and a person who has helped build our grassroots network up from nothing. I can think of very few more important things for the liberty movement of New York then a David Gay win in this election.

Please consider donating to his campaign. Every donation goes a long way in a local campaign, and we could really use every penny the campaign can get!

Benjamin Franklin's 13 virtues:

Temperance: Eat not to dullness; drink not to elevation
Silence: Speak not but what may benefit others or yourself; avoid trifling conversations
Order: Let all your things have their places; let each part of your business have its time
Resolution: Resolve to perform what you ought; perform without fail what you resolve
Frugality: Make no expense but to do good to others or yourself; that is, waste nothing
Industry: Lose not time; be always employed in something useful; cut off all unnecessary actions
Sincerity: Use no hurtful deceit; think innocently and justly; speak accordingly
Justice: Wrong none by doing injuries or omitting the benefits that are your duty
Moderation: Avoid extremes; forbear resenting injuries so much as you think you deserve
Cleanliness: Tolerate no uncleanliness in body, clothes or habitation
Tranquility: Be not disturbed at trifles or accidents common or unavoidable
Chastity: Rarely use venery but for health or offspring; never to dullness, weakness, or the injury of your own or another's peace or reputation
Humility: Imitate Jesus and Socrates

No problem David, it's very important to promote our best people as candidates and you certainly qualify in our state. I hope people in the movement will take this important opportunity to invest in our movements future.

IMO someone running for an ultra local office like town council needs to be able to fund their campaign locally if they want to have any chance of making it.

MEH. But he's one of us! He posted here twice in 2010 once in 2011 skipped the election year, now he's back. Only comes here to promote himself.

The vast majority of our donations are from people in the CNY Liberty movement. David was the NY Chairman of the Ron Paul 2012 campaign and if there was one individual I had to call the leader of our movement in New York it would be him.

That being said, is $20 from Syracuse any different from $20 anywhere else in the nation? The biggest reason we don't have more liberty people in congress right now is we don't have a deep enough bench in state and local offices. By donating to local candidates your dollars stand a much higher chance of making a big impact. A race like this costs $25,000 tops to fund the entire thing, so if a person theoretically maxed out they'd fund 10% of the campaign. In places like New York where we don't have control of the state GOP the only real way to create formidable candidates is to start local and work up. Donating to candidates like David Gay assures that is possible.

RON PAUL: "David believes very strongly in the traditional Republican principles of Constitutionally limited government and free enterprise. I am happy to give him my endorsement."

We have passed $3,000 and the moneybomb has been extended into today! Will you help us reach $4,000? Ron Paul found this valuable enough to give his endorsement, THAT is incentive enough to give whatever amount you can, NO amount is too small!
