It was revealed that Dorner has become the first human target for remotely-controlled airborne drones on US soil.

A senior police source said: “The thermal imaging cameras the drones use may be our only hope of finding him. On the ground, it’s like looking for a needle in a haystack.

Asked directly if drones have already been deployed, Riverside Police Chief Sergio Diaz, who is jointly leading the task force, said: “We are using all the tools at our disposal.

From what I hear you can't tell a pickup from a vw bug with the camera's on those things.

It sounds like a better way to rally troops than to apprehend a lone gunmen.

Are they going to shoot from drones with the same accuracy as they have been shooting with police pistols?

How does a drone bring someone in alive?

Is this supposed to rally people behind drones? Because it fails.

Why is there no reaction like this for serial killers who target civilians?

Good.

A bunch of indiscriminate, dumb cops running mostly on adrenaline + a new and untried technology designed for a different purpose + a press corps hanging on every development could well = an incident that would get the public up in arms and make the powers that be afraid to deploy their drones over American soil again for fifty years to come.

I'm sorry for the California innocent who's about to become a poster child for the drone haters, but better one timely victim than dozens and dozens of victims over time.

Yes. That is exactly what they are wanting.

I guess the suspect is the only one who might show up on thermal images right?

Well since drones have never killed innocent bystanders only the chosen specific target......oh $**t.

How much you wanna bet they get their man with a drone. Instant public approval from the unwashed masses. Of course, there will be no footage. Or body. Unless its already on ice somewhere. Maybe that hiker foiled their surveillance for a good place to dump him.

Agreed. Game. Set. Match. 30,000 drones over Amerika in a few years. Still think you can bug out?

Agree. I see them constructing an event that would justify the need for using ARMED drones in US skies rather than just ones with thermal imaging. Say, Dorner is located with a drone, but manages to kill a cop or innocent before units arrive and they can subdue him. They will cry IF ONLY THE DRONE WAS ARMED, LOOK HOW MANY LIVES WOULD BE SAVED! ITS FOR YOUR SAFETY!

Of course the senior staff already have contingency plans, A, B, C... Z. They have learned how to lie and keep the mundanes hypnotized with False-Flag-Scripted public propaganda press junkets.

Has anyone in southern California seen any drones flying around?

All we need now is Richard Dawson to host the media coverage with a live studio audience.

Surely the hoards of FLIR data will later be analyzed
for all 400, 600, and 1000w HPS grow lights in residential buildings;
followed by warrant-less knock-and-talks.

The thermal imaging will only work if he is still alive.

If he has found a way to hide himself before doing himself in, this could go on for years.

Amazing how a person can be charged with something and then executed with a drone and nobody bats and eye as to the fact the due process of law has been bypassed.

The man is innocent and they plan on killing him! The reason I say he is innocent, is because everyone is innocent, even someone charged with a crime, till proven guilty by a jury of their peers.

Edit: Yes some will say, they are only looking for him with drones.... but I can see them taking him out with one too.

Funny they call it a "knock and talk." I call it a "look and don't answer."

I have no grow lights of course, but I do have a dog and child I'm fond of.

Some people that garden will be using grow lights this time of year if they start them from seed. I'll be starting mine shortly.
