I hope the patriots stand their ground. Hopefully they will have backup from around the country. That one d-bag couldn't even answer the questions about what the penalty will be for non compliance. Listening to Obama speak has been making me nauseous for some time. Now listening to other politicians is starting to have the same effect.

its now getting to be leaning to the 'unusual' side where i live in rural Washington State with regards to hearing gun fire. Early mornings and late evenings i'm hearing, and i'm sure with others who live around here, rapid fire gun shots from all directions, and sometimes 3-4 areas at the same time. This lasts just around 5 minutes, and then quiet for a few hours. I've lived in this area 12 years, and usually around hunting time i'll hear maybe a few shots that i'm guessing was scopes being sighted in for elk or deer.

The County Clerks met in Albany to discuss the Cuomo gun law, among other issues. During the meeting the State Police made a presentation to the clerks and dropped the three following bomb shells:

-Beyond mailing out the initial notice letter the Counties are going to be responsible for the re-certification process. Their intervention was to push this to the Counties

as an unfunded mandate. (This is of course in direct contradiction to the law that was passed).

-The Freedom of Information law opt-out will have to be renewed every five years. (There is nothing in the law requiring renewal of the opt-out once granted.)

-The State police also said that gun confiscation will be carried out as an end result of non compliance with the permit renewal process or gun registry.
