Hi everyone, my name is Luke and I live in Florida, where I've been looking to get involved in local politics.
Ever since I first heard about Ron Paul, I have explored the issues with great interest, and have found that I am a libertarian Republican like Ron and Rand. I'm looking for people in Pinellas county who can give me some tips on getting involved locally.
Thanks! :D

Welcome Luke, not from Florida and I don't know if you will find anybody from your county or not but welcome anyway.

What up man. If politics is your thing as it is mine, you should be in touch with your FL Campaign 4 Liberty (http://www.campaignforliberty.org/community/florida/).

Not sure how active some of these meetups are but they're in your area and you could see what's up: RP- St. Pete (http://www.meetup.com/ronpaul-242/), RP-Tampa (http://www.meetup.com/Tampa-Ron-Paul-for-President-2012/), Clearwater C4L (http://www.meetup.com/CLEARWATERRONPAUL2012/)

"Libertarian Republican like Rand"...

Why do so many people actually think Rand is a libertarian? He doesn't even openly support legalization of pot. He's libertarian leaning sure, but not actually libertarian. Even a soft libertarian would tend to oppose laws against victimless crimes.
