I still don't get it. How can people who are opposed to socialized health care or Obamacare be opposed to death panels unless they propose a more inclusive, less discriminatory, more socialist alternative?
The only problem with death panel, is that it excludes certain people, which is hardly worse than the status quo. So unless somebody wants to include everybody (or at least more people) and never have a panel, set of rules, or criteria for denying care (including money), how can they criticize death panel? Saying "let the market decide" is not, for the purposes of keeping everybody alive, going to solve the death panel problem. Letting the market decide means poor people CAN AND WILL be left to suffer or die because of the market's "panel". So in any case, you will always have people who cannot benefit fully from a system, and some people will always be left on the raw end.
