A libertarian blogger rails against Paul and the campaign.

http://liberalvaluesblog.com/?p=2406

We need to combat this notion that Paul is actively and deliberately seeking the support and pushing the agenda of right-wing extremists and conspiracy theorists. The truth is, the campaign HAS distanced itself from the views of these groups by saying that if they want to give money to the campaign, it's their loss, and they're going to be disappointed in what they get.

As far as Ron going on the Alex Jones show... well, he was asked to do it. Shouldn't candidates do radio shows when they're asked?

I'm getting sick and tired of seeing this stuff from people. Firstly, there aren't enough neo-Nazis and 9/11 Truthers in the country to overcome all or any of the factions of neocon, centrist, and left-of-center voters and propel Ron to the Presidency (or even the Republican Nomination; not to mentio nthat there aren't anywhere CLOSE to enough), so it makes absolutely no sense to try to spin his campaign as following this strategy, if the campaign's goal is to win or if they have any other political motivation.

Secondly, I think it's pretty clear that Ron has been strictly adhering to a message of liberty and that he does seek out actively libertarians, conservatives, and liberals who are attracted to it. I find it very hard to believe that even a large minority of the people at his rallies or who are supporting him are neo-nazis or 9/11 truthers.

In any event... it may be time to ask the campaign officially to deal with this. We can't have libertarians leaving our fold because of a few idiots who are giving us a bad name without our sanctioning it.

What is the readership on that? Five people? It does not concern me one bit.

For libertarians they are quick to believe what others (better: the media) told them. The letter also reads for me like: "It's more important that I will be seen in a good light rather than something is done for the cause of liberty".
And he is running as a Republican, no as a Libertarian (oh my god, socially conservative). This blog completely misses the point and I think ignoring is the best option too.

Given that 9/11 truthers make up 25%-33% of the people in the country as shown by polls, I don't think it matters if a few libertarians are pissed off by them supporting Paul.

Real libertarians understand that Ron Paul is accepting donations from individuals, and goes on whatever shows he goes on in order to get his message out to individuals, regardless of their personal beliefs.

I wouldn't bother too much with fake libertarians. Just get the word out, and overcome them.

Here's a great place where you can pitch in and do exactly that:

Don't link neo-nazi's and truthers together! They have nothing in common!

I post on Freedom Democrats where Chusid also posts and we have gotten into before over Paul when he claimed Paul was the candidate of the extemist right and Stormfront.

We got into once again on his site http://liberalvaluesblog.com/?p=2378 http://liberalvaluesblog.com/?p=2393 over this post a few days ago and you can clearly see how that conversation devolved.

I'm a member of the LP and a card carrying member of the ACLU for that matter...LP members overhwelming support Ron Paul, not all of them, but most of them.
