The common sense solution here obviously is to make it illegal to own assault weapons if you have kids. Why on earth would anybody have guns in the same house as your children?

We need reasonable common sense gun laws to prevent tragedies such as this.

No, no, no. That would be in violation of the 2nd Amendment. The common sense solution is to make it illegal for owners of assault weapons to have children.

And because there is no way to tell who might one day own an assault weapon, the real solution is to confiscate kids at birth so the state might raze them right.
