Time to decriminalize the drugs that actually get a person high without catastrophic side effects..

At least Krokodil addictions eventually resolve all by themselves! Who needs a law?

It seems like there would not be too many "new" users if "the word" got out 1st.

But, if there is nothing else better to do with one's own life, maybe it's worth it...

The Russian translation is okay-ish, but not something I'd pay for. Lots of details skipped over entirely and quite a few things not expressed well. :p:toady:

Here’s to hoping this video convinces at least a few teenagers to get their kicks in the form of marijuana instead of bath salts.

Loeffler’s first-hand experiences treating patients hospitalized on the San Diego Naval psych ward are chilling. “When people are using bath salts, they’re not their normal selves. They’re angrier, they’re erratic, they’re violent, they’re unpredictable. People will start acting really weird, seeing things that aren’t there, believing things that aren’t true,” Loeffler says. “Some people describe people spying on them, trying to kill them and their families, other people talk about seeing demons, and things that are trying to kill them.”

Like many addiction treatment experts, who are seeing more and more cases of people seriously messed up on bath salts, Loeffler wants users to understand they may be permanently damaging their brains. “One of the most concerning things about bath salts is that these hallucinations, these paranoid delusions, will last long after the intoxication’s gone,”

People will never run out of ways to get high, may as well just make everything legal so people that are going to get high anyway, might do so a bit more safely

Ironically, the "face-eating baths salts man" was not actually on "Bath Salts." He was high on weed. So after (falsely) sensationalizing the effects of Bath Salts, the media just couldn't say that they were actually wrong. Instead, after the toxicology reports showed them to be a bunch of lying idiots, they decided to shift gears and talk about the dangers of marijuana-induced psychosis, which they now "know" fueled this attack. "What? Bath Salts didn't cause this? Only weed in his system? Well we better get to work fast so people realize the latest dangers of weed!" These people are unbelievable. I know you get the munchies from weed but come on now! The Navy is worried about bath salts because there is about a hundred different variations of them that are undetectable by their urine police and they hate what they can't control.

it's total propaganda, it doesn't do that. it's not a hallucinogen so why would it make you see things? it's a stimulant.

The effects of MDPV are usually compared to amphetamines or other stimulants. A rough comedown is frequently reported, occasionally leading to compulsion to redose.

POSITIVE
stimulation (mental and physical)
euphoria, mood lift
increased sociability / talkativeness
increased productivity and motivation
increased mental clarity
enhanced creativity
feelings of empathy
sexual arousal

NEUTRAL
stimulation (mental and physical)
mild elevation in heart rate

NEGATIVE
(likelihood of negative side effects increases with higher doses)
tightened jaw muscles, grinding teeth (trismus and bruxia)
reduced enjoyment of eating / loss of appetite
disturbed sleep patterns
involuntary body movements (twitching, lip-smacking, etc.)
confusion and/or scrambled thoughts
gastrointestinal disturbance
muscle tension
residual depressed mood
nystagmus / eye spasm
anxiousness / nervousness / paranoia
harsh comedown effects
fiending (redosing repeatedly without planning to do so)
excessive excitation / hyperactivity
headache
very elevated heart rate
hallucinations / psychotic behavior (at high doses or with repeated use)

---------------------

I don't see anything about a desire to eat people's faces. Very high doses? Or lies

MDPV is not the only "bath salt" either. Nearly all are slight variations of popular street-drugs that are structurally different enough to be unprosecutable as analogues. It's similar to the "Spice" synthetic marijuana fiasco. The synthetic marijuanas are often called JWH-XXX, with the xxx being a different number so as the DEA bans them they just keep slightly altering it and re-releasing it. Since they are undetectable it is driving law enforcement crazy. I think they are up to like JWH-803 now. Yet the DEA just keeps adding them to their lists and filing and filing instead of re-thinking their policies. It is lunacy.

bxm is right, all these stimulants do is keep you awake, chatty, appreciate music.

They don't make you see things.

There have been some cases where it has been bad for peoples heart (the rush/speedy affect) and that's about it..

They're relatively safe as far as drugs are concerned.

I doesn't say anything about thinking the moles on your body are ticks burrowing into your skin....

...friend of a friend attacked his own ballsack at 3 am not to long ago with the tip of a box cutter, his wife knocked sense into him before it got to bad.

MDPV

I know of somebody who takes heavy doses of Welbutrin and Adderall (amphetamine). Welbutrin blocks the re-uptake of dopamine and norepinephrine (also called noradrenaline), and Adderall releases dopamine and norepinephrine. Norepinephrine is mainly responsible for adrenaline, your fight or flight. So using the above sink pictures, this person should be not only "bath salts" jacked, but she'd be doing it while running a marathon at the same time. I have yet to ever see her jogging or aggressive, and so far she hasn't ever eaten anybody's face off. Besides, aren't we about personal responsibility? If somebody wants to overflow their kitchen sink brain with bath salts or by drinking bleach, it might be stupid, shouldn't it still be her choice?

I thought this was a goof until they had the Naval doctor talking. When he slapped that girl, I laughed. I admit it.
