our politics is back to that transition between Herbert Hoover and FDR, and it looks like even though barney frank's votes won't be
totally different than john kerry's would have been if he decides to refuse our POTUS, the idea of being very public when voting does
look like it's appealing to him. we had JFK's grand-nephew being sworn in to barney frank's seat the other day, i think he is reluctant
to quietly go into retirement and is putting his own sort of media pressure on deval patrick at the risk of how polarizing his quips are!

yeah, until I saw this I was actually rooting for him being picked, just for old time's sake. Not so much any more.

when senator john kerry quietly votes like a good "new deal" liberal, he is
way more quiet an' people up here are totally well aware of his voting record.
barney frank has not shied away from free publicity and wears his opinions
on his sleave loudly. john kerry is almost 90% introverted by comparison.
the odds are that for the brief few months he might be casting almost the
same type of votes, he will trigger a plethora of youtubes & controversy!
senator john kerry often does not say things that directly play into the
narrowcasting scenarios of the neo-con right, unlike monsieur barney frank!!!

I got an idea, Barney... Why don't we peg spending increases to inflation? Inflation goes up 3%, spending goes up 3%.

That kind of circular logic can't spell disaster in any way. /sarc
