Well it's nice to know that the anti-war left isn't totally dead but they still hate capitalism though which made America the richest country in the world:

-
The teenage radical says his interest in socialism was piqued in high school when he heard people use the word “socialist” as an insult.

“I decided to do some research into what the problem was with it, and I never found it,” Noble told NJ.com. He describes the economic system as “a society built for the majority instead of the elite minority” and says people who don’t like socialism “have false logic.”

“You reach more people, more quickly when you win an election,” Noble added, according to NJ.com. “I’m hoping to bring a different perspective, a left-wing perspective to a board full of capitalists.”

Noble told NJ.com that budget concerns are his top priority as a board of education member. He campaigned on a multitude of issues including sex education in schools and adding LGBT-related lessons to the curriculum.

The young apparatchik also wants to ban military recruitment from school campuses.

“I’m antiwar, absolutely,” he told NJ.com. “And I’m against poaching high school kids and sending them to the front lines of a war they have nothing to do with, they didn’t start and will not benefit from.”

Noble’s father, Peter, is a member of the Board of Education for the Red Bank Borough Public Schools.

Noble is apparently web savvy. He has a campaign website. The current front page, dated Nov. 8, 2011, contains an ebullient statement about his victory.

“I can’t say for sure what’s next, but I can promise that this will not be my last run for public office,” he writes. “Until then, we will continue the fight against capitalism outside of the voting booth!”

The newly-elected comrade also has at least two Facebook pages. On Noble’s personal Facebook page, his favorites include vegetarianism; Umberto’s Pizzeria in Fair Haven, New Jersey; and “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia,” an FX television show about a group of very self-centered, relatively unsuccessful people.

I would positively be chomping at the bit to debate this guy. Undoubtedly one of those socialists that never examines the logical precepts to the economic system he supports.

Critiquing capitalism as the US has increasingly practiced it, corporatism, does not naturally result in socialism, but rather a damning indictment of the State apparatus that enables it.

I'm seriously left wondering if NJ's school board is really filled with "capitalists", or true free market followers, as he says or if it's just a bunch of corporatist, crony-capitalist pigs in free market clothing.

I'm willing to be it's the latter.

Wow...our kids can't even do things like math or english...yet we want to add gay education to the curriculum. Since when was it the government's job to teach kids about whether gay marriage should be acceptable or not?

Gay advocates always talk about "choice". Well what about the choice of parents to teach their kids about sex education and gay marriage at the proper time. Parents should be able to educate their children on these matters based on their beliefs. Government and schools have no role in this.

This.

And true prosperity comes not from "capitalism".

True prosperity comes with liberty.

Lose your liberty and you will lose your prosperity.

My point exactly. These semantics about capitalists and communists, conservatives and Marxists is all there just to muddy the real issue, which is whether we will be a free people free to make our own decisions, or if daddy government is there to tell us no and give us a little slap on the hand with a night stick.

It is because they want to brainwash kids into believing gays are this delicate little flower that was stomped on every day for the last 5000 years. I think we ought to show how well gays are doing here, and their complaints are bordering on whining and bitching.

Looks like the kid comes from a pretty well-to-do family. I'm sure he wouldn't mind spending a couple weeks in urban Baltimore or Detroit and experience the wonders of socialism first-hand.

Why i hate when libertarians try to cozy up to some of the anti-war types who are outright communists. Rothbard did the same thing prior to WWII, thinking that at least on foreign policy they could agree, and the socialists stabbed him in the back.

Ron Paul to Congress: "Why do so many members defend free markets but not civil liberties? Why do so many defend civil liberties but not free markets? Aren't they the same?"

Conservative don't know what civil liberties are, Liberals have perverted civil liberties. Most of them only care about group rights rather than NDAA or what ACLU likes

Why bother... send him somewhere closer. Like Newark or Camden.

[Noble] says people who don’t like socialism “have false logic.”

The Double-Think is strong in this one.

Indeed. Entirely apart from the fact that "liking" something is a matter of taste & preference (and therefore does not posess "truth value"), someone should explain to him that "logic" is neither "true" nor "false" - it is "valid" or "invalid".

Or not. I doubt there would be any point. Socialists delight in syntheses of contradictions.
