There were some on here wondering if he'd be an ally, but this interview should clear up any chance of that.

How the hell did he get elected?

Because The Club for Growth is effective at getting people elected.

The guy is a lost cause best thing we can do is get him out of office fast. Really is bad he is in a seat with his view on the wars and our foreign policy, he is going to make a lot of terrible votes that are in fact bad for the troops. Thought he wanted better for them?

Absolutely stunning. What a fool. Some people are too stubborn to admit they were wrong.

He's young and already getting a lot of hype from the usual suspects. I expect to see him being pushed for senator one day. I think he's a tad to (openly) jingoistic to win the presidency, but if the public starts crying for blood again, this guy will be right up there as the great savior of the neocon moment.

Sad. A victim of the Neocon propaganda is totally enamored with it. Also, his ears really bug me.

I'm sure anyone with half a brain is quickly learning that Harvard degrees mean jack shit when it comes to having a semblance of intelligence.

Not happening, with the Club for Growth and FreedomWorks firmly behind him.

What $500b of cut is he talking about? And you know you are a hyper hawk when you make Wolf Blitzer sound like a reasonable dove. Thanks but I will have to pass on Tim Cotton

Perhaps we should ask him if it's conservative to spend $700 billion at the Pentagon.

And ask Freedomworks too and ask CLub for Growth how you get any growth when the government spends so much on one department?

He's a sharp guy, which scares me. I want to nip this guy's political career before it starts.

They have both said many times they don't care about military spending and foreign policy. Domestic fiscal policy is the only thing they care about.

Is he flaunting his military career a bit much?

Local Army recruiters said a Harvard-educated lawyer left his practice in Houston and departed for basic training, which will be followed by Officer Candidate School.
Thomas Cotton, 27, was in his third year of law school when the World Trade Center and the Pentagon were attacked on Sept. 11, 2001, said Lt. Col. Roger Jones, commander of Army Recruiting Battalion Houston.

Cotton decided to enlist, Jones said, but first wanted to get his law degree and work long enough to repay the money he had borrowed for his education.

He added that Cotton left without talking to the media because “he didn’t want the publicity to enhance his military career.”
