Booo..

The GOP are urging Karl Rove's mega-PAC to get involved in the 2014 Senate primaries:

Of course they fail to mention how bad the establishment candidates did in the last election cycle. For example, Thompson in WI and Rehberg, especially in Montana, should have been able to win that race but failed so they highlight Indiana's Mourdock and Akin as examples where the establishment not getting involved was detrimental.

Also the article says that the GOP are trying to "take control" of the 2016 presidential primary debates as they believe Romney was damaged by too many debates

If they had the right candidate, they would have been helped by so many debates. The problem is not having a huge platform, it's what you do with it. These morons really don't want to let go of their power. They'll go down kicking and screaming without ever understanding what did them in.

This guy didn't seem like he had much credibility calling the states on election night. Why do people still think he's some kind of expert?

The analysis they offer is that Romney got beat up in the debates and so was damaged in the general election.

They're basically saying they want greater control over the process and would prefer just to coronate someone like the Democrats do. Clear the field and screw the grassroots. That's their plan in the senate primary, they want to recruit a candidate (read: fake conservative) and start putting them on TV way early and hope to scare off challengers.

His political analysis doesn't matter. He's got big money and big donors and they want to pick our candidates. Fake conservatives basically.

It's not a complete bust as we still have Club 4 Growth, FreedomWorks, Americans for Prosperity, Senate Conservatives Fund, Liberty for All and people like Peter Theil to back our guys where they emerge. We won't always get our guys through the primaries but we can continually chip away at the establishment over time where our impact shows through. Plus, as we get more involved as delegates in our own party and build our influence on the state leadership and exec committees we'll have more say in who is acceptable as our party's nominees for Senate if not outright getting rid of the primary races in certain places in favor of state delegation caucuses/conventions.

excellent. That will assure they lose. $300 million with ZERO winning candidates last cycle, wasn't it?

As opposed to Ron's 8 of 12 endorsements winning?
