Providing for consideration of the Senate amendments to the bill (H.R. 8) to extend certain tax relief provisions enacted in 2001 and 2003, and to provide for expedited consideration of a bill providing for comprehensive tax reform, and for other purposes

the italicized portion concerns me extremely, given the make up of capital hill.

Well, it doesn't look like Ron will be voting. Maybe Ron just decided to leave Washington and go back home for good several days ago.

He was there for the procedural bills on the first cliff set.

I don't know. I think it is pretty odd he wouldn't be there his last days of the last session. I'm wondering if he might have voted differently than others and didn't want to do that when it wasn't going to make a difference in the outcome.

But I also wonder what 'comprehensive tax reform' they are dreaming up. I can't imagine it being favorable to taxpayers.

If you were him, would you rather be in DC, or at home with family?

The last vote of his last session? I'd expect him there, to be honest. For thirty years he would 'rather be home with family'.
