Their 2012 wrap up show, category "Most Honest," Buchanan led off with Ron Paul. Said that he always tell the truth, and always has. Clarence Thomas Page (dammit!) said "Are we back to Ron Paul?" and Pat said Paul had had a very good year. Also that Rand was probably going to have a very successful career as a politician.

I'd have said, 'If you didn't want Ron Paul mentioned you should have insisted that "Most Honest" not be a category. This is Washington we're talking about, after all. If you don't mention Ron Paul when the subject of honesty in Washington comes up, you really can't say anything at all.'

No wonder they never invite me to be on those things.

cooooooool! its Mr. Page who often opines perceptively even though Pat Buchanan can sometimes hit the metaphoric hardball out of the ballpark!

That's Clarence Paige, not Clarence Thomas. Also love Pat bringing up non interventionist foreign policy!

@ 18:50, Mort Zuckerman said that Bernanke was the Capitalist of the Year that saved our financial system. I nearly spit out my peanut butter crunch cereal all over my keyboard when I saw that crap.

@ 24:48, McLaughlin said that Bernanke was his pick for Person of the Year.

@43:20, Ron Paul mentioned for Most Honest.

My god, John McLaughlin is still alive?

He was ancient when I was watching his show on a regular basis thirty years ago.

Modern medical technology. Don't worry, innovation won't last much longer under Obamacare.

Hasn't he always been accused of being an isolationist?

Hasn't he always been accused of being an isolationist?

Probably. But he brought up how the magazine he writes for is now adopting non interventionist foreign policy. That's progress! :)

I did wonder though - isn't he a Chicago columnist? What's he doing owning a gun? Maybe he doesn't live in the city?

She's just an echo chamber for the party.
As abhorrent as her politics are, Eleanor is no dummy. I doubt that she's anymore obsessed with gun control than she is with any other part of the liberal/progressive agenda. She just knows that the time is right for this issue and wants to strike (repeatedly) while the iron is hot.
And yes, she's part of the party's echo chamber.
