Twitter user and lawyer Aaron Walker has graciously offered to defend NBC’s David Gregory, who is now under investigation by Washington DC police for brandishing a high-capacity magazine on Meet the Press yesterday.

Walker (whose Twitter handle is @AaronWorthing) says that Gregory’s lawyer should argue that the DC assault weapon ban violates the Second Amendment of the US Constitution:

Aaron Worthing@AaronWorthing
This is your chance, @davidgregory! You can help get DC's assault weapon ban declared unconstitutional! breitbart.com/Big-Journalism…

How do you brandish a magazine? Was he threatening to hit someone in the head with it? :p

Brandish: to shake or wave (as a weapon) menacingly

Watch, they are going to claim it was a .22lr mag for one of those AR lookalikes that fires .22lr and is legal in DC.

He's probably got one in his apartment since he's a "celebrity".

Mr. Gregory is in a predicament it seems. Either flip-flop his stance to pro gun-rights and second amendment to save himself or face the enforcement of the "law." Even if they get him out of this, people will want know why the law doesn't apply to him, but it applies to the rest of D.C.

WHATS THE POINT. I mean, 30 round mag vs 10 round mag vs 5 round mag. The only difference is the frequency of reload. What a bullshit argument to begin with. Incrementation at its finest. Bring them from 30 to 10, 10 to 5, and then 5 to none.

They obviously know that they can't ban everything at once. So they make excuse after excuse until everything is gone. We're frogs in the pot really.

They keep saying 'why do you need an AUTOMATIC weapon - to which the answer, as if you have to 'need' something to not have it forbidden you, is against criminals and gangs who have them. Criminals don't follow gun laws any more than they follow other laws. It is already a crime to assault someone with a gun. Clearly, they aren't following THOSE laws.

Why does someone NEED a car that travels over 80mph? Why do you NEED a 60" TV?
Its called the Bill of RIGHTS, not the Bill of NEEDS.

Apparently, NBC knew it was illegal, showing once again how criminals just don't pay attention to gun laws....

NBC News asked D.C. police for a high-capacity ammunition clip to use as a prop on Sunday’s “Meet the Press” show, a request District authorities said Wednesday they denied.

But host David Gregory appears to have obtained one anyway — and then displayed it on national television. Now D.C. police say they’re investigating whether the District’s gun laws were violated in the incident.

Classic! The real crime here is contempt of cop. A nice lesson in reality for these statists at NBC.

LOL. I hope he gets convicted. Poetic justice. And for the record, his argument is stupid. This shooter didn't use a high capacity magazine. He had two handguns, 1 with a 10 round clip and 1 with a 15 round clip.

Yet he killed 33 adults. So we're supposed to believe that the kindergarten shooter wouldn't have been able to kill as many little kids if he had had to take a few extra seconds to change clips?

I heard a radio host the other day say it has nothing to do with hunting. It's for protection against government tyranny. He said we should have acess to the same weapons as the government.

They're probably just going to claim it was a prop. A metal box with no spring inside.
