He had over 15K of grassroots money from people here at last count, probably more now. He initially claimed that he had already bought the ad, and later claimed that he hadn't bought the ad yet, but had the resources to run a New York Times ad by himself. He is in his 20s and lives with his mother, calling that into serious question.

Where's the money? Where's the ad? Are people still getting ripped off? His site is still up.

What are you talking about?

A user named thoughtbombing set up a site and a Paypal account and received 15K from people here to run a NY Times ad. Probably a lot more money now. He was caught in several lies and now I haven't seen him for a while. I think people who gave to him got ripped off.

**DO NOT DONATE**
His site is still up, and I'm inclined to believe the 15K. Several people confirmed sending donations, and there was a lot of excitement about a Times ad. http://thoughtbombing.org/
**DO NOT DONATE**

The only place we should be sending our money is ronpaul2008.com. There are unsavory individuals who will attempt to exploit our community by engaging in criminal behavior. The anonymity of the internet is an ideal hunting ground for these predators. Only give to the official campaign website for your own safety!

this (http://www.ronpaul2008store.com/servlet/StoreFront) is where the "store" link takes you off of the thoughtbombing.org site....

tell me what you think.

That's legit. He still has a donate link on top right of thoughtbombing.org, though.

I contributed to him and supported him until it came out that he had not yet bought the ad. I asked for a refund and he promptly refunded my paypal donation.

I don't think that he was an out-and-out scammer; however, I wouldn't recommend donating to his site. I highly doubt that he actually received thousands of dollars in donations in such a short period.
